Back to "the spot"
Boy, what a view! You spent six days hiking in the wilderness last fall, and on day four it happened. Cresting a ridge line and stopping to catch your breath and stretch your back you saw it . . . the most pristine, the most immaculate, the most picturesque view you had ever beheld. You might even say that the moment was spiritual. Accordingly, you snapped a photo of the scene with your digital camera, quickly transferred the photo to the Garmin Oregon 450t, and geo-tagged the image. Thanks to its photo navigation abilities, the Oregon 450t lets you navigate directly to the location from which you took your geo-tagged photo. Features like this are great for, oh you know, sharing a particular vista with a special someone, for example. Or, you know, getting back to that place you caught the 20" brown trout on your 4-weight rod. Either way, the Oregon 450t gets you back to "the spot."
Explore backcountry in 3D
The Oregon 450t's preloaded U.S. topographic maps, 3-D map view, and a built-in worldwide basemap with shaded relief give you all the tools for serious climbing or hiking. Just in case you're wondering how steep that hill really is, Oregon's 3-D map view helps you visualize your surroundings, giving you a better perspective of the elevation.
