Color enables you to easily see your location and route, and to easily differentiate between roads, interstates, parks, waterways, airports and other Points of Interest at a glance. As if color isn't exciting enough, this SporTrak model also features a built-in barometer. Like carrying your own little weather station, you can ease your mind about what might be rolling in. Another clear advantage over the competition is the innovative 3-axis compass which orients no matter how it's held, providing added confidence. You don't need to hold the unit level like a compass or a 2-axis electronic compass (found in many GPS devices), to get an accurate reading. Just hold it naturally.

Using a super sensitive quadifiler helix antenna that tracks up to 12 satellites simultaneously, this rugged and reliable navigator finds your location quickly and easily. Assisted by the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), the SporTrak is accurate to within 3 meters or better. The intuitive design and large buttons provide easy access to all the amazing power of your new GPS, while the large backlit display makes it easy to see all the info your GPS provides. Start navigating right away with the extensive, 10MB built-in mapping database of North America that includes valuable details like interstates, highways, major roads, waterways, city locations, airports and more. Topographical displays allow you to view your 3D position. Increase your mapping detail by downloading street level maps to your SporTrak's 22MB built-in memory. Its rubber armored, impact resistant plastic can withstand outdoor adventuring and it's waterproof (IEC-529 IPX7 specifications). It even floats!

Nine customizable graphic navigation displays includes a map, compass & speedometer as well as text readouts of heading, bearing, speed, direction, ETA and more. Choose from 12 built-in coordinate systems and 76 datums including Latitude/Longitude, Universal Transverse Mercator and Military Grid Reference System. You can store up to 20 routes, 500 waypoints and 2,000 track-points to easily find your way back; as often as you would like. The unique Save Track-to-Route feature allows you to convert complicated track files into easy to follow routes. You can quickly and easily save hundreds of routes to your computer using MapSend software from Magellan.

Now That You Know Where You Are

This GPS can provide you with a lot more than just your position. To start with, using Magellan's NorthFinder technology, it can show your direction even when you are standing still. It can show you when the sun will rise and set, as well as the phase of the moon, for any date and location in the world. You can use the satellite status feature to monitor the GPS satellites in view and get information about their status. Want to know when the fish are most likely to be biting? The built-in Fish and Game calculator will help you calculate the best times for your location, further assisting in the success of your excursion.
