Trend Setting Quality Advancements

Every industry has a leader. Mitsubishi has been producing premium quality products for more than 25 years. Superior performance, precision build-quality and long-lasting reliability are characteristics you have come to associate with the name Mitsubishi. Thier advanced research capabilities, robust engineering practices and exacting quality standards combine to bring you a truly remarkable entertainment experience. The WS55813 Diamond Series HDTV emulates this high standard of quality. And why not? You not only expect it... you deserve it.

Enhanced To The Max

So what sort of enhancements are we talking about? New, sophisticated, image-enhancing optical technologies highlight Mitubishi's top-of-the-line, Diamond WS55813 Integrated Digital Cable Ready HDTV. This is a sleek, gorgeous, best-in-class TV with every deluxe feature you can imagine. Tru-Focus lenses use proprietary elements that boost picture quality uniformly across the entire screen. While conventional tinted "shields" dim the image, Mitsubishi's clever Anti-Glare Diamond Shield with selective absorption properties lets the brilliant picture 'shine" -even in brightly lit rooms. And with 7" CRTs, the 55" model is unsurpassed by all industry standards. MediaCommand plays MP3 and WMA digital audio files and reads digital camera memory cards, including MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, SmartMedia, CompactFlash and Memory Stick.

Ready To Play

DCR... what exactly does that signify? Quite simply, DCR stands for Digital Cable Ready. That's right, just as it sounds the WS55813 HDTV is ready, willing and able to connect to your cable right out of the box. No frills, no fancy hook-ups, no dancing with the cable company: the WS55813 is ready to perform. Wait until you plug it in... what a performance! With such advanced features as the AMVP (Advanced Multimedia Video Processor), QuadField Focus, their special Tru-Focus Lenses, ColorPure Filters and the removable Diamond shield, Mitsubishi is betting you will be hard pressed to find better quality visuals in competing products.

Take Complete Control

The WS55813 offers a new level of networking to combine selected older products with new and future digital products. With the NetCommand System , you have full support of IEEE 1394 connections, an Audio/Video Control System (AV/C), 5C copy protection and IR control of selected older products such as VCRs, DVD Players, cable boxes or satellite receivers. NetCommand includes the ability to learn remote control signals from many other devices, allowing you to customize the NetCommand system in a way that works best for your viewing habits or needs.

Masters of Their Craft

Mitsubishi knows quality, and their WS55813 HDTV reflects that knowledge with a dynamic digital cable ready television. This HDTV features advanced technology that can't help but make for a breathtaking viewing experience on a masterfully crafted 55" screen. Before you even turn it on for the first time, you will be struck by the wide viewing surface and stylish angles of the HDTV itself. The WS55813 contains the AMVP Motion Processor, which provides enhanced pixel multiplication, image formats and digital noise reduction. Other manufacturers' TV tint controls limit color adjustment to a red-green trade off. Mitsubishi's Perfect Color system lets you adjust six primary colors individually with unmatched accuracy.

Non-Compressed Video Delivery

DVI is a method used to send non-compressed digital video information from one device to another device. DVI is a "one way" system which means there is a sending (source) device and a receiving device. Just as there are different standards for standard computer analog RGB signals and for standard analog TV video signals, there are differences between the digital computer signals and digital TV video signals. For DVI to work properly, both DVI devices, the source device and the receiving device, must be compatible with the same types of signals. For video, the most common signals are stated in scanning rates of 480p, 720p and 1080i.

Under Your Command

NetCommand, Mitsubishi's exclusive intelligent Home Theater Control System, allows the TV to become the heart of the system with the use of one simple remote control. The TV (not the remote control), using IR emitters, sends remote control signals to the other devices in the system commanding them to play, record, change inputs, adjust volume, change channels and many more functions, all without using another remote control or changing control layers in the remote control. NetCommand also includes the ability to control IEEE 1394 devices by sending control signals on the FireWire cable and combines the IR emitters and FireWire control system into a simple-to-use single user interface system.

High-Speed Communication

IEEE 1394 is a high speed digital interface designed to send audio, video and control signals between devices. Some signals are designed for computer communication and are sent as packet information instead of streaming information. Some signals are Audio Video (AV) and are sent as streaming information. the audio and video signals the TVs use can be different types such as MPEG2 compressed digital video as is used in broadcast or DV digital video as used in some digital camcorders. Similarly the audio can be different types such as Dolby Digital audio.

Custom Fit

With all of the different video formats being offered today, you'll appreciate the WS55813's many picture format modes. The set features 6 format modes for analog 480i and 480p signals. You can choose from Narrow (for 4:3, with sidebars), Standard (for 16:9 anamorphic), Expand (for 4:3 letterbox), Zoom (for 2.35:1 anamorphic letterbox), Stretch (for 4:3, without sidebars), and Stretch Plus (for 4:3, without sidebars, Stretch + Expand). For analog 1080i and all digital 16:9 formats, you can choose from Standard (for 16:9) and Expand (removes embedded sidebars) modes. For all digital 4:3 formats, picture format modes include Narrow (for 4:3, with sidebars), Standard (for 4:3, without sidebars) and Expand (for 4:3 letterbox).
