Get Ready To Give The Jones' A Thumpin' On The Color Front
How many colors do you reckon your present TV has? How about the Jones'? I'll bet the answer to both questions is fewer than five. Most likely three -- red, green, and blue. In the passive-aggressive race of escalation that is neighborhood relations, you must pre-empt the Jones' attempts to dominate your street's push for larger, brighter screens. Even if you don't have room for a screen as large as theirs, you can count on the Mitsubishi 733 Series LCD Microdisplay HDTV. Why? Color. More colors. (Six instead of three or five!) Brighter colors. (Hello, Magenta!) Inform the Jones' that color is the new "bigger." Inform the Jones' they better make room at the top. Color -- It's your "ace in the hole."
And Mitsubishi is taking color to a new level by supporting x.v. Color, the new HD color standard, and by offering its exclusive new 6-Color Light Engine. x.v.Color enables 80% more color than standard HDTV! Mitsubishi's 6-Color Light Engine generates yellow, cyan, and magenta directly, rather than by mixing combinations of the standard red, green, and blue (RGB) to create them. This more efficient process allows the 733 Series televisions to display a wider range of colors -- brighter colors and whiter whites. Additional color features such as Deep Color, Color 4D Video Noise Reduction, and PerfectColor allow for additional advanced color processing and adjustment. PerfectColor is an exclusive Mitsubishi feature that gives you the ability to adjust the intensity of six separate colors independent of each other and separately for every input. The result is Color Without Compromise.
x.v.Color: There's A New Standard In Town
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is the traditional standard used in the computer and home theater world -- and whether expressed directly in digital form as Studio RGB (sRGB) or indirectly as YCbCr -- it doesn't begin to cover all the colors the human eye can perceive. The limitations intrinsic to the RGB standard are intentional -- engineered in, in fact to keep systems from accidentally using colors that can't be represented by "real world" display devices. Any attempt to display colors outside of the RGB color gamut results in crush back to the nearest color within the gamut. Thing is, the real world recently became? well? more real.
xvYCC (dubbed x.v.Color by many manufacturers) is a new color gamut encompassing more of the visible spectrum (1.8 times as many colors, an increase of 55%!) in anticipation of successive generations of new devices that are not quite so limited. There is no doubt the eye can see the difference when natural images are captured and displayed in a larger color gamut -- so long as the gamut stays within the limits of visible light. Good implementation of a larger color gamut leads to more "natural" images. More natural images leads to happier movie watchers.
Let It Shine, And Shine, And Shine
Mitsubishi has pushed lamp technology to its limit! Their unique, patented optical design focuses light more efficiently to produce a 10% brighter on-screen image. TurboLight180 produces a brighter image without increasing the amount of power consumed or heat produced, therefore it does not compromise the life or performance of the lamp itself. Mitsubishi?s exclusive TurboLight180 technology directs more light to the DLP chip surface resulting in a brighter, more vivid on-screen image. What's not to love about that?
The 'p' Stands For Perfection
Mitsubishi's Tru1080p Processing maintains 1080p high definition signals as 1080p from beginning to end. All 1080p DVI-I, HDMI, IEEE 1394, and 1080p Broadcast signals are passed through with no down-conversions. The advancements of 1080p DLP technology for HDTV viewing deliver over 2 million pixels to you on-screen for a full and true 1920 x 1080 resolution. With Mitsubishi 1080p DLP HDTVs, you can experience the best that high definition has to offer today and be ready to enjoy all of the 1080p sources that are on the horizon. HDTVs can display any video signal. For a 1080p HDTV, even the high quality 720p and 1080i HDTV signals being broadcast need to be reformatted in order to fill the TV screen with a sharp, clear picture. Mitsubishi developed Plush1080p technology to do just this -- with the highest quality possible. It scales the picture precisely, with minimal side effects. And 1080i, currently the most common form of HDTV signal, is spectacular at 1080p. The conversion is precise, resulting in previously unachievable detail and clarity. Mitsubishi's 4D Video Noise Reduction adds an extra dimension to picture performance. Advanced algorithms filter video noise more efficiently yielding clean, crisp images. In short, Plush1080p and 4D Video Noise Reduction technology make everything else look better on a 1080p HDTV.
Do You Have "Connections"?
Mitsubishi's Easy Connect simplifies set-up and day-to-day use. During set-up, it recognizes each input as it is plugged in, prompts the user to name it, enters it into the Device Menu, and only shows used inputs. ClearThought makes it easy to find the desired input, which is handy since this set comes loaded with a number of inputs. It also provides three -- count'em, three! -- Simplay-enabled HDMI v1.3 inputs. HDMI 1.3 adds support for the new "xvYCC" high definition color standard, which removes current color space limitations and enables the display of any color the human eye can perceive. This set sports an additional three digital component video inputs as well. With these advanced connection options, you won't have to worry about compatibility with future components for quite a while. So hook it up, then sit back and relax, while Easy Connect gets everything squared away.
