Your incoming media content comes in a variety of sizes, resolutions, and formats, and with that in mind, HDMI systems automatically configure to display that content in the most effective format.

Since HDMI carries all channels on video and audio, there is only one cable to plug into any HDMI-enabled source and display device. No more complicated cable set-up when installing your home theater system, and no more ugly cable mess behind your components. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on this single cable. Also, HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI. LG's SimpLink technology allows for convenient control of other LG products using the existing HDMI connection.

AV and Expert Mode

Like choosing different sound effects on your stereo like opera hall, bar, or concert, your 26LG40 gives you image options that enhance whatever you're watching. AV Mode optimizes the picture into Cinema Mode, Sports Mode, and Game Mode. And Expert Mode has been certificated by the ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) picture quality calibration institution, making it possible to finely tune the picture at a professional level. The result is a dynamic HDTV that is adaptable to many different modes and settings.

Invisible speakers

The 26LG40's unique sound system further accentuates the beauty of the product, incorporating speaker actuators around the perimeter of the entire bezel, and at the same time, eliminating traditional speaker drivers and associated grills. This not only allows for a sleek, finished look, but also creates a virtual "wall" of sound.

Remember the cables!
