I must say I was very skeptical about ordering online from a company 2000 miles away but once the TV arrived, I could never be happier about the purchase. This TV is truly amazing ! I compared alot of plasmas and LCDs but for the price, you cant go wrong with this Samsung at all.
Vanns service was incredible. I was able to purchase the Samsung TV and matching stand along with a 5 yr parts and labor warranty for less than the TV alone at Best Buy. Everything arrived ahead of original schedule and the company even credited me for an incorrect shipping charge.

This is the finest DLP T.V. i have ever seen. The ones in the stores dont do it justice. The picture is bright but not to bright. The detail on HD sources is incredible. Even SD souces look great. The LED backlight has a lot to do with that. I replaced an old RPTV. Had a good picture,
but doesnt come close to this one. An LCD or Plasma
T.V. doesnt come close! Hope they keep making these. Best picture for the buck, no doubt.
Oh by the way, Vanns is the greatest. I am a fisrt time buyer, and they exceeded my expectations. Had an issue and called them. A real person answered the phone. She was very curteous and took care of the problem right away.
Service after the sale. What a concept!!! Vanns, you rock!!

If you are looking for a rear projection TV you cant go wrong with this Samsung. I have found this Samsung projection TV not only has a fantastic picture it is easy to operate. The menu is very easy to get around so you can set your TV up the way you want it. But I found that almost everything was set just fine right out of the box. Even when the television is off it just draws your eyes to it because the styling is very pleasing to the eye. I could give you all kinds of numbers and facts about the TV but you can get all that from the TV description. Trust me I would not recommend anything if I had even the slightest question about it. In this economy you have to be sure that the dollar you spend is for the best you can get. I have two Samsung TVs one for the bedroom and one in the living room. Both have fantastic pictures. Trust me it took me over a year to finally decide. I believe I chose correctly, Samsung makes the best TVs.

I bought this set just about 12 months ago. At that time, I did about 3 months of research on non-plasma options after my 10-year old 55 Sony died, and the clincher for me was the rave reviews this set got at the National Electronics Show. Circuit City and Best Buy were still selling the legacy version of this 61, but Vanns was one of the first sites advertising the next generation model which resolved a spotlight issue. I spoke to a rep at best Buy, and he said they would be getting this newer model, but the price range he quoted was higher than what Vanns listed. Having never purchased from Vanns, I was apprehensive, but I figured that I could return the set if I wasnt satisfied. As I tracked the shipment over the next several days, I noted that the tracking info froze in Colorado. I contacted Vanns, and I spoke to Diane Westbrook. Not only was Diane courteous and attentive, she went the extra mile in ensuring that another set was shipped to me while they resolved the issue with the original shipment on their end. I received my TV 2 days later, set it up, and have been extremely happy with it and the outstanding service that Vanns provided. The TV image and ease of use always gets compliments when friends and family are over, and I have yet to find a Plasma that can match the picture quality at this price and size. If youre on the fence about this set, dont be....buy it and youll be really glad that you did.

Bottom Lines
1. Great Website, easy to navigate and understand with great features for comparing products.

I had this tv for about a month now. and its just one nice tv. at work we have a 52 inch sharp Lcd mounted on the wall, and I think the picture on the HL 61A750 can just about match it. both with blue ray and the new upgraded 1080p Direct TV, its hard to tell the difference between them. but the cost is a lot more for the Lcd. and the Lcd is still smaller tv. the 61A750 will do just as much as the Lcd we have at work you can hook just about anything up to it. the picture is pretty good right out of the box, all I did is adjust the sharpness to 20-25 and the color 30-40 and its so life like, and thats another thing it looks more life like than the 52 Lcd. there is realy nothing I dont like about this tv, for what I paid for it. its still worth $2000 to me. so if you have the room for this big gorgeous tv than go for it buy one, you wont be sorry. I highly recommend this size and brand with led lighting.

The one word to describe this unit compared to my old Mitsubishi projection set is impressive. My wife and I were looking around town for this same TV at some of the large electronic stores near our area. No one could come close to the price Vanns was offering and then not to charge tax and free shipping was just an added bonus!! We thought they were selling refurbished units at first, with these prices, then noticed that it states brand new in the box on their website. We were still a little skeptical about ordering something this big and having it trucked all the way from Montana to Florida. But after I found out that we can refuse it, if damaged, made us finally order it. I ordered the unit on Jan 2nd, received a confirmation e-mail from Vanns, stating it will be delivered by Jan 12th. We were not too happy with that date, since the Gators BCS Championship game was on the 8th. Then they sent me the Yellow Freight tracking information and the unit was scheduled to be delivered on Jan 7th, and it was!! Yellow Freight is awesome!! The unit made it to us with no holes in it and no damage. We waited the 4 hours to set up, recommended by Vanns. Then turned it on to say WOW, the colors were so vivid. Even though we do not have a HD signal coming in, we have Direct TV. Watching the game the next day was awesome. After playing around with the easy menu Samsung has set up, we fine tuned it to our liking and are still loving it!! I did read a couple of reviews about the sound, but dont see a problem with it. We have our unit in a room about 12 X 15 and there is plenty of sound to be heard. Of course, when we kick in our Bose surround sound, it just adds to movie or show we are watching. We will and have recommended Vanns to all our family and friends and will be doing business with them again in the future. Thanks again for the GREAT deal. Also, I just called to get the 3 year extended warranty offered, noticed the price went down by $19.00, Vanns is crediting that to my card. This place is a dream come true for great prices on electronics and service!!!

I THOUGHT ABOUT A 52INCH LCD BUT THIS 61INCH WAS CHEAPER AND BIGGER. I HAVE DISH NET HD AND A PS3 THAT WORK GREAT ON THIS TV. DONT GET THE 650 VERSION THE 750 IS THE WAY TO GO. ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT THEY WILL PROBABLY STOP MAKING THESE SOON, I THINK THE PICTURES IS BETTER THEN ALL OTHER TVS THAT I HAVE SEEN. WHY PAY MOORE? THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME USING VANNS AND EVERYTHING WENT PERFECT.

First Impression
I previously owned the Samsung HL-R6168W. It was a 2nd generation DLP. This new TV is 7th generation DLP. Right out of the box, this TV was amazing. It was noticably brighter and crisper than my previous TV. The unit itself is smaller than other 61 TVs due to the slim bezel and hidden speakers. The piano black finish looks awesome. The small footprint of this TV allowed it to fit into my living room furniture whereas my previous TV would not.
PROS
-Full 1080p-looks noticably better than my old 1080i when viewing a Blu-ray movie on my PS3.
-LED is brighter than normal lamp-was almost too bright at first. After calibration it looks great.
-LED means no bulb to replace-my old tv DLP bulbs cost almost $300.
-LED means no color wheel moving part. The only moving part in this TV is the cooling fan. Other non-LED DLPs have more moving parts, therefore more chance to break.
-3 HDMI 1.3 connections.
-Small footprint for the size. Unless you need to hang it on a wall, there is no reason to get a flat panel LCD or Plasma when you can get this set for about 13 of the price. You get way more inches per dollar with DLP than the others.
-120hz. This TV takes your 60hz and 24hz source material and runs it all at 120hz. This eliminates the jittery scenes during fast action sequences of movies. It looks amazing.
CONS
-PIP does not work with all sources. You can only use it with the CableOTA coax input and 1 other input of your choice. So you cannot PIP a HDMI source and a Component source. This makes the PIP feature useless is you have your main TV source hooked up via HDMI or component instead of COAX.
-Menus are a little limited in what you can customize. For instance, you cannot rename source names. So AV1 is either AV1 or one of a few preset names you can give it like GAME or CABLE.
-Side inputs All of the inputs are on right side of the TV as you look at it. This lead to the need for longer cables if any of your components are on the left. They are, however, easier to access than rear inputs.
Overall
I love my new TV and have no regrets. The cons I listed are things I knew about before I bought it and do not bother me, but they could be a factor for some people. Having now owned two 61 DLP televisions and researching each one for months before purchase, I can safely say that I would recommend this product to anyone.

This TV is amazing!!! The price is unbeatable, when I tell people how much I paid and how big it is and the picture quality they dont believe me until I show them the receipt. Vanns quality comes through again as it has for my whole family. The new samsung is great with no spinning wheel in back there is no sound from the tv at all.
The inputs in the back are so easy to read and easy to get at that set up is a sinch. The controls for the TV and setup anyone can do and Im living proof of that its not hard to setup at all.
Anyone that wants to spend all this money on a LCD or Plasma this tv looks just as nice as any tv I have seen and at least $1,000.00 cheaper for the size then anyone out there and the quality is top notch!!!

This will be my 4th big screen tv in about 5 years! I purchased 2 hitachis..1 dlp and 1 rear projection. Never again. Bulbs went constantly on dlp, and 400 bucks a pop! Color wheel went twice and cost is about 675 for part alone! Crazy!!!
I did a ton of research on this tv for about 1.5 months. And the review dont lie...this tv rox!
The LED instead of bulb is fantastic..its incredible how vivid, bright and blacks are black to the point where I had to turn down the LED brightness....the tv is very customizable. YOu can even shut off the power light if you want on the tv when watching it.
The viewing angle is incredible, best I have seen in Plasma, LCD or DLP and I have seen many of the high end Pioneer Elites, Samsung, Sonys and Panasonics. The tv weights about 70 lbs but tv viewing is very big.
I have my xbox 360 hooked up and does 1080p over component non hdmi model Not a single issue and looks incredible to the point where its almost in 3rd.
Watching 1080p movies will blow you away!
Some let downs..the speakers are pretty weak..no bass at all, but its such a small form factor, that not much room to improve there. Speakers are loud enough, but tinny at times. So highly recommend home theatre when watching this tv.
Other than that, it really is incredible. Very quite, turns on instantly and looks amazing.
As for VANNS.com, they where excellent and best price on this tv by far. Saved me money off retail Bestbuy or CircuitCity. The trucking company MyYellow.com was awesome too. I was notified many times by phone when it was coming and confirmation that I was home and they arrived in 15 minutes.
Hopefully this LED lasts the life of the tv 60K hours is the claim. If I was to even get half that I would be thrilled. If you are considering a dlp, this is the one to buy..do not buy with bulbs, color wheel because this is junk technology and gets very expensive over life of the tv.
Highly recommend both this tv and Vanns!

My Samsung DLP model Hl61A750 arrived via Yellow Transportation Inc. promptly five days after placing the order. The Samsung Blue-ray player arrived the same day via UPS. I must say I was impressed with the speed and politeness of the delivery service provided by Vanns.com. My first impression was one of astonishment as to how light and well packaged the unit was. But that soon paled in comparison to the astonishment I experienced after hooking up the Samsung Blue-ray player to the Samsung DLP and viewing the Blue-ray disc 2001 A Space Odyssey .The picture literally jumped of the screen in almost 3D like fashion. The Samsung series 7 DLP delivers a breathtaking image, rich in color, sharpness, and detail. It even past the wife test, as I was afraid that she would say she couldnt see the difference between standard and high def, but she too was blown away by the picture and has since become an HD convert as well. At one time I had considered purchasing a Plasma or LCD until research lead me to this television. This technology defiantly offers more bang for the buck, as an HD television of this size 61 in Plasma, or LCD would have cost thousands more .As to Vanns.com, Im extremely happy with the purchase price and the service Ive received. None of the local retail stores could even come close to matching the benefits of free shipping, no sales tax, and hundreds off the listed price, all of which Vanns offered. A colleague at my wifes place of business had suggested Vanns to us, and Ive already begun to pay it forward by strongly recommending their services to others interested in purchasing electronics.

Great TV! I did lots of research before I purchased this set. The picture quality is great and the price is unbelievable! TV looks great and the user menu is the best I have seen. Blu- Ray movies really pop and the LED technology makes this a real steal at this price. The brightness is amazing and dark levels are far superior to any LCD. Blu-Ray movies play at 1080p24fps, just like at the movies!
I also purchased the matching stand. The two look great together, but the stand isnt the best strength.
Hook this tv to a surround sound system and people wont leave your living room!

I had been promising the kids a big TV for several months, but didnt realize how expensive one of the 60 TVs were if they are an LCD or a Plasma. Then we saw this TV online and went over to a big box store to check out the picture. We were really impressed. We couldnt tell what the difference was between the 650 and the 750, so I called the Vanns help desk. The man told me that the 750 was lit by an LED not a bulb that is prone to burning out. That info, along with the free shipping and no sales tax sealed the deal. We ordered on Tues and the TV was delivered via Fed Ex Freight with a prior confirming phone call to make sure someone would be home to accept it on Friday in perfect condition.
Now that it is up and running, we continue to be amazed at how crisp and clear the picture is. For the money, this really is an amazing TV.

Vanns was great to work with and shipping was great. The screen really reduces the amount of refections you get during the day or at night. That was one of the major draw backs of out last Big Screen HDTV. Picture quality is fantastic - no dark areas on screen or any LED defects noted. This is the third time I have done business with Vanns and they can expect future business from my family or friends that I can convince to try Vanns for
electronic and HD gadgets. I have all HDMI components now and that sure reduced the number of wires needed.
Cons none that I have noticed in the two weeks I have had the set.

My last three TVs have been CRT rear projection and I have always liked the large pictures they offer. I was hesitant to move into the latest generation of rear-projection HD TVs, because of horror stories about frequent and very expensive lamp replacement and loud cooling fan noise. The long lasting, cool running, quiet, energy efficient, white LED projection lamp used in the new Samsung DLP sets, was just what I have been waiting for.
I have had my Samsung HL61A750 for about two months now, and I am still dazzled by the large, bright, crisp colorful image. The palette of colors that this TV can display is amazing. The viewing angle is very wide and everyone in the room sees a great picture. The large number and variety of video and audio inputs and outputs, allowed me to hook up my elaborate system of large dish satellite, FiOS Cable, DVR, HD antennae, surround sound and two HD Video games, with connections to spare.
Personally I cant understand why people spend so much more for smaller Plasma and LCD TVs. I think it is a herd mentality that causes them to believe that LCD and Plasma are the only two viable choices. For me size does matter!
You can buy this DLP LED HD-TV with confidence. I was hesitant at first to buy a large item like this from half way across the country from a company I had never dealt with before, but when I considered Vanns had the lowest price, free shipping and NO SALES TAX, I could not resist. It would have cost $50. to get the same TV shipped from the Big Box store only 3 miles from my home! I was able to buy the credenzastand with the money I saved on shipping and sales tax.
Now that I have dealt with Vanns knowledgeable, friendly sales staff, the quick shipping and right-to-my-door delivery, Im hooked. Ill be shopping at Vanns for my next large electronic items and appliances too!
I am being picky, but I lowered he Ease of use score from a 5 to a 4 because I use Picture-in-a-Picture A LOT, and unlike my past TVs which just needed one button pushed on the remote to access PIP, the Samsung remote control requires about 4 button pushes and a screen menu search, to accomplish the same thing. If PIP is not important to you, give it a 5 for Ease of Use.

Simply amazing. Thats all I have to say about this TV. My wife was hesitant at first to let me buy this TV. Shes been promising to let me buy one for 2 years now so finally when I found this price at Vanns she said OK. Now, unfortuantely I dont get to watch it. She hogs the remote so she can watch all of her stuff in HD. Every time we sit down to watch a Blu-Ray or HD content were mesmerized by the picture quality. My Dad has a 46 LCD from Samsung. Yeah, 1080i and everything but this DLP blows his out of the water. Ive been researching the LED DLP for just over a year now and I tell you, everyone is right about this TV, its the most amazing picture, and for the price you just cant beat it.
So save yourself some money and get this TV at Vanns. Great customer service! I originally purchased the HL-6189S and decided last minute to get the 61A750. I even recieved confirmation that my TV was about to ship and they went ahead and made the switch for me. Even better is that I saw that about 3 weeks later they had the TV on sale and even gave me a refund on the price I paid!!! I mean who does that? I will buy my next TV at Vanns!
