But it's not just about watching and listening; you can interact, too. The KDL32EX523 is Skype ready, which means that you can connect to your friends and family and video chat right from your HDTV! (Requires separate purchase of Sony camera/microphone) The two side USB ports come in handy for watching your own videos or playing a slideshow of your photos. Just connect your digital camera/camcorder or a USB storage device directly to the TV. You can even attach your USB-enabled MP3 player to listen to your own personal playlists. No matter what you're watching, the 1080p resolution and edge LED backlighting guarantee you a detailed picture with great contrast. Sony's X-Reality Engine also powers a vivid, lifelike picture. You'd think that would make this one power-hungry machine, but that's not the case. The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the picture brightness based on the amount of light in the room, and a presence sensor monitors movement in the room. When it detects no movment, it automatically turns off the picture, leaving only sound. After more time and no movement, the TV turns itself off.
