The LFX11's compact base station functions as the hub from which your LocationFree TV, PlayStation Portable or laptop computer receives streamed audio and video content. By purchasing the LocationFree TV package, you get access to all three of these devices. Using WiFi technology, LocationFree streams video, audio and the Internet from the base station to your portable device around the home. using the LocationFree TV, you can enjoy your favorite TV programs or movies up to 100 feet from the LocationFree Base Station. LocationFree TV utilizes dual band wireless technology (802.11a/b/g, max 54Mbps). If you have 2.4 GHz devices in your home, such as a microwave or cordless phone, your LocationFree TV switches automatically over to 5GHz to avoid interference and keep the video rolling. LocationFree also uses the advanced QoS (Quality of Service) technology, which delivers more secured bandwidth for reliable audio and video transmissions.

Your Entertainment Center

The LFX11's Base Station connects with a variety of home entertainment devices. Simply connect a CATV line plus up to two other video players, such as DVD players and digital video recorders, and add your broadband internet as well. Plug your home entertainment devices into the base station's two video inputs. An Infrared Blaster cable allows the Base Station to control A/V devices.

LocationFree Technology

The LFX11's newly developed dualband MAT (Multi-directional Audio and Visual Transmission) antenna achieves stable wireless A/V streaming with real-time and high-speed transmission. Sony's advanced wireless technology allows you to transmit high quality video, even under severe conditions where wireless interference is common. NetAV enables you to connect your Base Station via a broadband internet connection from outside your house (at a public wireless access point, hotel, etc.). You can enjoy your TV and favorite A/V content virtually anywhere. Initial setup is easy and quick. A learning remote function allows you to add remote codes into the pre-assigned remote panel or into the generic design remote panel. The Universal On-Screen A/V Remote Commander Unit controls most major brands of audio and video components. Simply connect an IR blaster to the Base Station for wireless control over A/V components.
