HDMI (High Defintion Multimedia Interface)

HDMI is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video connection. HDMI provides the best interface between a DVD player and compatible products. When matched with a compatible component, this single interconnecting cable combines: Multi-channel audio, uncompressed digital video, intercommunication between devices and simple control protocols. This single cable connection ensures that all signals remain in their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition Copy Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution. High Contrast, Wide Angles

Dynamic Contrast dramatically mitigates this problem by adjusting the backlight intensity, providing up to a 4x improvement in contrast. Getting A Great Picture

The LNS3252D's 1366 x 768 pixel resolution LCD screen is HD-grade, with a built-in image scaler to handle inputs from a variety of digital and analog audio/video sources. Samsung's DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) dramatically improves the picture by enhancing the contrast, detail and white balance while reducing noise. A 3D Y/C digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, picture width, and picture changes over time, to reduce edge image artifacts while improving transition detail. Progressive scan technology eliminates the flicker that you see on traditional, interlaced scanning TVs, while an 8ms response time minimizes the blurring of moving video.

Other Useful Features

The LNS3252D not only looks and sounds great, it's also a pleasure to use. A built-in digital tuner (ATSC) means you don't need a set top box. The set's V-Chip system allows the blocking of rated TV and movie programs determined by a parent to contain objectionable content. Auto channel search helps you find those favorites, and picture-in-picture (PIP) enables convenient simultaneous viewing of TV programs and video or PC sources. There's a variable sleep timer to turn the TV off in varying time intervals, while an auto volume leveler keeps audio volume consistent during channel changing. Finally, the multi-lingual on-screen display offers direction in English, Spanish, or French.
