1080p HD without a mess of wires
Now you can get full 1080p HD without the mess of wires. The FPT5894 includes a wireless home A/V center that enables wireless communication between the FPT5894 and components (DVD player, cable/satellite box, etc.) connected to the wireless center. This television's connections (three HDMI jacks, two component video inputs, and so on) were moved from the back of the TV to the back of the separate wireless base station. As a result, the only wire coming from the panel is the power cord. This could potentially save hundreds of dollars in insallation fees if you want to wall-mount your FPT5894 because not having to run interconnects through the wall makes wall installation much simpler. The base station communicates with the television via a 802.11n wireless standard at speeds up to 150Mbps, which is plenty for 1080p video.
FilterBright technology

Samsung's FPT5894 plasma TV boasts a combination of FilterBright technology, Super Black Panel and Optimal Light Filter to bring you sharp contrast, unbelievable detail and pure clarity in any lighting condition. Samsung's patented FilterBright technology features a pair of powerful internal filters that absorb external light and transmit internal light. This process increases the bright room contrast, helping maintain a sharper image in any light.
Natural true color
Conventional Plasma HDTVs use 10-bit color processing that produces up to 1.07 billion colors. But Samsung has taken HDTV Plasma to the next level with sets that have 18-bit color processing. These technologically advanced color processing methods can produce astonishing natural, true-to-life colors. It also aids in video signal processing of analog sources to ensure a more natural and vivid picture.
DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) technology
The FPT5894 takes full advantage of DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) technology. DNIe provides five image processors and a six-times density enhancer that help produce truer color and higher contrast for a sharp and clear image. DNIe features that help improve your viewing experience include Contrast Enhancer, which enhances brightness and contrast levels for deeper, richer blacks and greater detail, and more natural whites. There's Motion Optimizer, which optimizes fast-moving images to produce more natural-looking motion, thus reducing video noise or blurring. Detail Enhancer analyzes video signal elements in order to produce sharper detail, clearer image separation and more natural edge transition. Colors are reproduced with a more life-like realism with Color Optimizer, making whites more accurate, and skin tones a more natural hue.

Save power
The FPT5894's power save feature provides 3 modes, one of which is auto save. In the event of an ambient light change, the television's blue eye detects this change automatically and brightness will be adjusted to the most suitable level. This feature reduces power consumption by up to 25 percent compared to standard televisions.
