DVD/VCR Combination

View your entire library of movies and TV shows on DVD discs or VHS tapes with the multi-functional SLVD570H DVD/VCR player. The player features 720p/1080i DVD upscaling through its HDMI connection, while the VCR offers VCR Plus+ timer recording and flash rewind. Front A/V inputs add convenience for plugging in your camcorder.

Superb Disc Playback

The DVD portion of the DLVD570H combination component has everything you need in a DVD player. A progressive scan output (480P) gives you enhanced picture quality and is a big plus with today's high definition televisions. And, the HDMI connection allows fror 720p/1080i upscaling of DVD output, so you'll always get a great picture with an HDMI-compatible television. Other video outputs for the DVD side include component and S-Video output. Component video provides high quality video transfer, but if your TV is not equipped with component video inputs, the S-Video connection provides the next best thing to component video. If your TV doesn't have either of these connections, you also have composite (RCA style) and coaxial outputs so you don't have to run out and buy a new TV before you can start enjoying the benefits of DVD. To take full advantage of the amazing digital sound found on DVDs you have both coaxial and optical digital audio outputs to connect to a compatible A/V receiver so you can enjoy the benefits of pristine digital audio and especially the amazing surround sound encoded on most DVDs. Besides regular DVD, this player will also play DVD+RW/+R, DVD-RW/-R (Video Mode), SVCD and audio CDs including CD-R/RW discs. Since it can decode MP3, you can even load discs with dozens of songs and be entertained for hours.

The SLVD570H also incorporates a full featured Hi-Fi VCR that offers entertaining extras like auto tracking that automatically adjusts itself to give you the best audio and video from every tape you watch. It also automatically sets its own clock and tuner using its time and effort saving plug & play abilities. The 19 micron heads optimize EP recording so you can get the best videos even when you're trying to get the most out of your tapes. With the one month eight event recording timer, you can set the VCR to record your favorite programs (up to 8 at a time) up to a month in advance. If you have S-VHS tapes you can play them on this VCR as well thanks to S-VHS Quasi Playback. Flash Rewind rewinds a T-120 video tape in about 60 seconds and commercial skip is handy when watching your favorite recorded programs.

Easy Programming

VCR Plus+ programming and a Quickset Timer Dial help you easily program your VCR to record. VCR Plus+ lets you set up the VCR to tape a program simply by punching in a code number from your local TV listings. With the Quickset Timer Dial, you can program your VCR with just a quick turn of the wrist. Press the Quickset Timer Dial to activate the system. Turn the knob to set the date, start time, stop time, and channel.

Extra Features

The SLVD570H also features JPEG digital picture playback, which lets you view your JPEG digital images from CD-R/RW right on your TV. Hooking up a camcorder, game system or other A/V component is easy thanks to the front panel A/V inputs. With the multi-lingual on-screen display and Remote Commander remote control, controlling your DVD/VCR is simple; and the Remote Commander will also operate most TVs.
