Choose the mode that matches your program material and situation. " Standard" mode delivers a wider " sweet spot" than earlier designs. You can sit in more locations and still hear the surround sound effect. " Wide" mode simulates the sound of multiple surround speakers, further apart, for a wider sound image. "Dynamic" is ideal for action movies, bumping up the volume of center-channel dialog for increased clarity.
