The Ultimate A/V Connection

You'll find an HDMI connection on the DVCP704, which will output uncompressed video singals, along with every audio format carried by the player. Video can be passed directly to an HDMI-enabled HDTV, while audio -- including Dolby Digital and DTS signals -- can be passed to your AV receiver. Also, this cable can carry DVD signals for upconversion to 720p or 1080i. Converstion To HD Resolution

Progressive scan improves visual quality by displaying full-screen images in sequence, rather than alternating between half-screen images. This gives you images with far more detail, spectacularly clear color, no motion artifacts and less susceptibility to interlace flicker. With the HDMI setting on, the DVCP704 will automatically send progressive signals to your display. And if you have a component video input, it can be either in interlaced or in progressive form.

High-Quality Digital-to-Analog Converters

A crucial factor in achieving clear, pristine digital video playback is the video digital-to-analog converter in your DVD player. The DVCP704 has a 108 MHz/14-bit video DAC to support the transfer of progressive scan images. And, performing at a full 192 kHz/24-bit level or resolution, the DVCP704's digital-to-analog audio converters deliver audio performance that's ideal for today's formats. They boast a higher dynamic range than standard digital-to-analog converters, and are virtually resistant to clock jitter -- which means you'll enjoy the best performance possible.

Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry
