Superior Performance and Enjoyment of All High Quality Digital Discs |
The DV-S5770 is compatible with both DVD Audio and Super Audio CD. These multichannel music formats provide a surround sound music experience that is much more natural and lifelike than normal stereo. It delivers sound quality that is superior even to some more expensive players for a number of reasons. The DVS-5770 uses high performance 192kHz/24-bit audio DACs for all channels. The Super Audio CD and DVD Audio circuits are completely independent and optimized for each format (the Super Audio CD circuit is extremely simple and straight). This guarantees highest quality with both types of disc (format selection is provided). |
A Comprehensive Player |
With versatile format and disc compatibility, the DVS-5770 will play almost any type of disc you are likely to have: Super Audio CD, DVD Audio/Video, DVD+R/+RW, DVD+R/RW, Audio CD, CD-R/RW, SVCD and VCD discs, as well as discs with MP3 (multisession) and JPEG (multisession) files. With this wide range of video/audio formats to choose from, nearly all popular computer media files can be recorded to a DVD or standard CD on your PC and then viewed or otherwise enjoyed using the DVS-5770. |
DCDi Imaging... And What That Means To You |
DCDi, or Directional Correlational Deinterlacing, was invented and patented in 1996. A prominent feature of theDVS-5770, DCDi eliminates the jagged edges that appear when standard interlaced video is viewed on progressive scan displays. During the initial launch of the HDTV industry, broadcasters recognized that a means of very high quality upconversion of NTSC was required. The DCDi algorithm was designed to eliminate the staircasing effect that conventional upconverters introduced to diagonal edges. DCDi's unique algorithm identifies all the moving edges in a scene and adjusts the angle of interpolation at each pixel so that the interpolation always follows the edge instead of crossing it, eliminating staircasing or jagged edge artifacts. The result is a smooth and natural looking image. |
Ease Into It |
While the DVS-5770 provides the technology to delight your ears and stimulate the eyes, it also makes operation easy so you can hold on to your sanity. A quick set up function through an on-screen display on your television helps you get the system tuned to meet your specific viewing habits. A variety of connections, including optical digital input and outputs ensure easy integration with your existing entertainment components. The included system remote is designed for increased ease of use and functionality. |
