The Toshiba DR 430 is a big technical jump from the first burner I bought. This one has more flexibility like upscaling standard videos to near HD quality. There are better input slots such as a DV hotwire socket for direct downloading from a camera.

This burner is much easier to use. I have it connected to the TV and a camera simultaneously. I burn a couple of TV series for my brother and, with one touch,jump back and forth from the TV show and my comments which I record from my Dig. camera. The Toshiba DR430 is an excellent machine for the purpose and Vanns has it for the best price.
