Its dual mode optical pickup is compatible with CD-R/RW media, and with its internal MP3/WMA decoder, it can read music files burned to CD-R/RW. You can even display images from Photo CDs available from many photo finishing retailers. So, enjoy your DVDs, but don't forget that you can also enjoy music and photographs with the same versatile machine.

Squeezing Out The Best Sound

An optical digital audio output terminal provides DTS-compatible Dolby Digital audio signals for connection to a Dolby Digital receiver. This flexible terminal can also provide stereo digital audio signals for connection to advanced digital audio systems. This latter option is ideal when listening to high fidelity audio CDs or the latest high-sample-rate audio DVD discs. Analog left/right audio terminals provide Dolby Surround-encoded audio for superb stereo sound, or complete surround sound when connected to a Dolby Pro Logic receiver. You can connect a VCR or camcorder to your DVD player using the AV input/output jacks or you can connect to a TV if you want to watch your DVD on a larger screen.

Keeping Control

Advanced Disc Navigation functions bring you new flexibility in accessing DVD content. Ez View can convert Letter Box images to full screen viewing on your conventional TV. The Zoom feature allows extreme magnification of selected screen areas, without distortion, even as the movie is playing. An advanced graphic user interface provides clear on-screen icons and menus, making it simple to control the DVDL300 from across the room, or from the backseat. The slender credit-card style remote offers complete control of your DVD player from across the room, or from the back seat.

Adaptive Image Control

Adaptive Image Control provides 4 different screen modes that allow you to choose the best screen condition under different viewing situations. Mode 1 is the basic, standard mode. Mode 2 (Low Light) reduces brightness while leaving contrast and edge sharpness so you can watch a movie without hurting your eyes. Mode 3 (Indoor) increases contrast and edge sharpness to display pictures more clearly. Under the Indoor mode, you can enjoy pictures more vividly under artificial lighting conditions. Finally, Mode 4 (Outdoor) increases contrast and edge sharpness while reducing brightness to reduce reflection of light. With the Outdoor mode, you can enjoy clear pictures even under sunshine.

The DVDL300 features Screen Inversion Control that allows you to flip the 10" widescreen picture vertically. This feature becomes especially handy if you ever choose to mount the player upside down, let's say on the interior roof of your car. Dual headphone jacks with volume control allow two users to enjoy the rich, full sound of favorite DVDs, CDs, and MP3-encoded CD-R/RW discs without disturbing the rest of the family.
