They're sure to take you from prima donna to semi-pro in no time: SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization reduces camera shake just like it should, but it does it from the body of the camera, not the lens. (Most stabilization systems are located in the lens, not the camera body.) A ultra high 12,800 sensitivity, low-noise CMOS sensor, and high-tech BIONZ image processor produce incredibly clear low-light photographs without loss in detail. Pro-style technology, such as "rack focus," Dynamic Range Optimizer, 1200-zone exposure metering, and RAW image capture, give you endless creative options, all in one powerful, compact camera.
Optimizing your success rate
Maybe you're on the fence when it comes to digital photography. You want the creative license, but you also want to take great photos on the fly without putting a ton of effort into them. Sony's on it. In addition to the high-end pro features on the α33, they've thrown in eight standard scene selection modes, Face Detection and Smile Shutter technology, plus six creative style setting to put some funky finishing touches on your photos. They've even added the Sweep Panorama mode that digitally stitches together images with expansive results.
