Increasing performance and responsiveness, the Bionz processor instantaneously identifies and processes digital information to reproduce sharp, beautiful video and still pictures. The Bionz processor is able to reproduce images with minimal noise and to capture high action photos with minimal blur. The Bionz processor is able to capture both subtle and drastic movements in faces instantaneously for blur-free and noise-free images. Using sophisticated algorithms, the Dynamic Range Optimizer adjusts for favourable exposure and contrast best suited for the environment and the individuals in the picture. When posing against a highly contrasted background, the processor corrects for exposure and contrast levels and allows for better backlight compensation and white color expression. Bionz: It's a level of precision unheard of in consumer camcorders.

Keep control

For easier control of the camcorder, the HDRUX20 features Zoom and Record buttons on the frame of the LCD screen. Sony's exclusive AccuPower meter displays the battery time remaining in minutes, in either the viewfinder or on the LCD screen. At the touch of a button, battery information is displayed on the LCD screen when charging as well as when the camcorder is turned off.
