Shoot like a pro. The Sony HDR-AX2000 Handycam camcorder delivers HD broadcast-quality moving images with the convenience of a non-linear recording format. With 24p Progressive Scan Mode, this camcorder's high-quality film-like motion lets you realize brilliant scene reproduction. Three 1/3" Exmor CMOS image sensors capture sharp, detailed images even in lower-light (1.5 LUX) situations.

Brilliant scene reproduction

The Sony HDR-AX2000/H Handycame camcorder lets you capture film-like progressive video footage, thanks to 1080/60i recording and 1080/24p and 1080/30p Progressive Scan mode. Signals scanned at 24p/30p are converted to 60i (using 2-3 pulldown for 24p) and recorded on MemoryStick PRO Duo media. This camcorder also features three 1/3" Exmor 3CMOS sensors, each having 1,120K total pixels, for improved color reproduction, low noise, and improved resolution. Throw in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode, which allows the camera to compensate for hand shakiness to deliver a stunning level of image smoothness. You'll also get superior low-light performance from the HDRAX2000, with clear shooting of subjects in light as low as 1.5 lux. Capture your memories in 24Mbps and record brilliant AVCHD video with amazing clarity and enhanced detail. The AVCHD2 (Audio Video Compression for HD) codec is ideal for recording on a variety of media including high-definition Blu-ray Disc.

Stereo sound recording

Professional quality video requires professional quality audio. Featuring dual XLR 3-pin audio jacks, you will be able to provide +48V phantom power to external microphones. Additionally, the grounded connection allows insertion/removal of connectors in live equipment without picking up external signals.

More natural color tones

For extra control over image expression, CinemaTone Gamma technology is used to deepen the color and CinemaTone Color to recreate film-like color tones. CinemaTone Gamma also allows operators to quickly set up and load a gamma curve with similar contrast characteristics to a film gamma curve.
