The SC-HMX20C also features a 4-megapixel digital still camera. However, using Samsung's Pixel-Rising technology, a pixel-interpolation filter is used to convert recorded stills to the equivalent of 8MP, so you can print great looking stills up to 11" x 17". So, while you're capturing the festivities at your child's latest birthday party, you can quickly and easily get a snapshot of your child blowing out the candles on his or her cake. Aside from this, though, you are able to take still photos while still recording video for a true dual experience.

Zippin' right along
The SC-HMX20C lets you take up to 10 seconds at an unbelievable 300 frames per second, giving you ultra-detailed slow motion playback. This comes in handy for analyzing any sort of movement in-depth that's faster than the human eye (like a golf swing, or a dive). Now that's fast!
Compaction
Video compression used to be basically synonymous with video degradation. However, the SCHMX20C is equipped with H264 HD video CODEC, providing advanaced compression technology and resulting virtually loss-less compression. What you see is what you get, but it takes up less space on the memory card. Sounds great, right?
Dracula!
Maybe not quite, but the SC-HMX20C is quite sensitive to light nonetheless. Even with such a small light source as one candle, the High Sensitivity Mode allows video or stills to be taken at up to ISO3200 (rivalling many digital cameras). This makes it the perfect camcorder/camera for those low-light shots by reducing the blur. And by the way, it might not hurt to keep some garlic in your camcorder bag.
