Extend your music with Digital Media Port (DMP) and the supplied cradle for iPod players. This system also comes with S-AIR digital wireless capabilities for connecting compatible S-AIR devices (sold separately) and streaming audio in up to four rooms of your home. In addition, the DAV-IS50 has BRAVIA Theater Sync&trade technology for one-touch operation of your compatible Sony BRAVIA HDTV and home entertainment components.

Capable of wireless sound

S-AIR technology lets you create a wireless surround sound speaker configuration without the hassle of custom installation or running speaker wires across the room. Just add the WAHT-SA1 and/or WAHT-SA10 wireless surround for rear speakers. S-AIR digital wireless capability combines with the optional EZW-T100 S-AIR ready transmitter and AIR-SA10 air station receiver/speaker (all sold separately) to let you full up to four rooms in your home with sound from the main unit.

HDMI&trade connectivity delivers upscaled DVD video (up to 1080p) and simplifies cable connections with the ability to transmit high definition video and surround sound audio using a single cable. The Digital Media Port (DMP) proprietary interface adds networking and connectivity options through optional accessories that can connect with PCs, select Walkman® players, Bluetooth® devices, and iPod® products.

Digital Cinema Auto Calibration uses Sony's digital signal processing technology and an included microphone to optimize audio playback for your room at the touch of a button. Digital Cinema Sound&trade (DCS) technology uses exclusive Sony digital signal processing (DSP) technology to recreate movie theater-like sound.

An S-Master® digital amplifier in the DAV-IS50 supplies superb accuracy using a digital-to-digital process that clearly separates audio signals to deliver balanced sound reproduction. And, a portable audio enhancer expands the quality of sound from any connected audio device, while front-side audio connections make it easy to hook up portable devices and play music through the receiver.
