A Powerful Purchase
Instantly turn your living room into a surround sound mecca with the QPF30AL. With one purchase, you'll have everything you need for powerful surround sound entertainment experiences. The system includes a slim design DVD player with progressive scan, a digital amplifier that delivers 100 watts per 6 channels, a 100 watt powered subwoofer, four floor standing front/rear speakers, a surround back speaker and a slim center speaker. All in all, you get surrounded by 700 watts of sound, delivered beautifully through Dolby Digital, dts, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding.
Multi-Talented
Simply calling the XV512 (included in the QPF30AL system) a DVD player is a big understatement. That's because it plays so much more than just DVDs. Say you want to listen to one of your CDs or CD-R/RW you created with your computer. Just load it up in this player and let it roll. If you have a list of MP3s on your hard drive that you would like to listen to on your entertainment system, just burn them onto a disc and drop it in the player. It even plays WMA files. You can put JPEG images on a CD-R/RW and view them on your TV as a slick-looking slide show with special effects like wipes and fades. You even have the option of saving one of your JPEG images to use as a custom start-up screen. Most DVD-R/RW discs and DVD-RAM discs as well as VCDs and SVCDs will play nicely with this component too. DVD Audio Playback gives you access to the outstanding audio, both stereo and surround, that is now available on DVD Audio discs. Just listen to even a little DVD Audio and standard CDs will never sound the same again. The illuminated front panel emits a cool, blue light that helps you see to load discs even with the lights down. In the panel's glow you can read that JVC has labeled the XV512 a "DVD AUDIO/DVD VIDEO/SUPER VCD/VCD/CD PLAYER", but that's just scratching the surface. There's a whole lot of entertainment potential packed into this player.
Gets Along Well With Others
Not only is this versatile DVD player compatible with a wide variety of discs, it also hooks up to almost anything. Use the Component Video outputs to tap into the XV512's Digital Direct Progressive Scan Output. Or, if your television isn't compatible with component video, you also have S-Video and Composite Video outputs for easy hook-up to almost any TV. Optical and Coaxial Digital Audio connections ensure you're passing a superior audio signal through the QPF30AL's speaker system. The slim, stylish DVD player keeps a very low profile at just 44mm high (approx. 1/7") to help you conserve space and it's standard component width (approx. 17") to enable stacking. With the QPF30AL, one size really does fit all.
Exceptional Work Ethic
With the QPF30AL, you get maximum entertainment with minimal exertion. The hard working graphics chip at the heart of the DVD player provides a number of impressive functions. For one, it incorporates the JVC exclusive VFP (Video Fine Processor). This gives you the ability to control the quality of the image according to your personal preference. It's even possible to recreate the feel of a movie projected from film. All processing takes place in the digital domain, so there is no chance for the signal to degrade. The high-resolution graphical user interface (GUI) allows easy, interactive operation through tool bars superimposed on your TV screen for simple point and click navigation. Again thanks to the high speed graphics chip, resolution is high, so images and letters are smooth and easier to see. The hardworking and versatile graphics chip also powers the 6-step Zoom. Magnified images are smooth and fine thanks to the digital smoothing function. The video DAC (Digital Analog Converter) in the QPF30AL's DVD player is two bits better than most chips out there (12-bit vs. 10-bit) and has double the range (108MHz vs. 54MHz). As a result, image quality is quite a bit better.
