The HTS3200 has three Audyssey technologies to help create the most suitable listening environment for your home. Audyssey EQ for system equalization removes much of the distortion caused by speaker enclosures and the typical room environment. It produces far superior sound than on comparable products that lack correction capabilities. Audyssey Dynamic Volume maintains the desired listening level for all content while optimizing dynamic range. And Audyssey Dynamic EQ for loudness correction solves the problem of deteriorating sound quality at lower volumes.

This superbly designed HTR370 home theater receiver combines Onkyo's traditional strengths of sound quality and construction quality with even more impressive sonic developments. These advances assure you of the highest quality audio and overall outstanding home theater performance, like Dolby Pro Logic II, a surround sound decoding process that delivers Dolby Digital-like quasi 5.1-channel sound from stereo music recordings and from stereo and Dolby Surround encoded movie soundtracks. It also provides significantly better channel separation than standard Dolby Pro Logic, and offers stereo surround channels, which is a big improvement over Pro Logic's single, mono surround channel. In addition, you have all the excitement of Dolby Digital and DTS Neo:6 surround sound for maximum movie enjoyment from DVDs and other sources with Dolby Digital or DTS soundtracks.

A new addition to Onkyo home theater, four gaming modes create more realism and impact in your gaming routine. You can select from Rock, Sports, Action, or Role Playing Game modes to match your gaming content. You can also connect an iPod or other MP3 player to the receiver's front panel for playback. Your player's compressed digital music files receive a quality boost thanks to the HTS3200's Music Optimizer technology. While MP3 or AAC files may sound fine on a portable digital player, the limitations of these compressed files can be exposed when played back through a home theater system. Onkyo has designed onboard Music Optimizer technology to improve the quality of the compressed audio signals.
