For those of us who prefer to watch at home, a truly cinematic experience is ours for the taking. The HTBD1250's Blu-ray player offers full compatibility with 24fps playback. As most movies are shot at 24fps, the HTBD2 will play your favorites without creating (and then attempting to rectify with the all-too fallible 3:2 pulldown technology) the annoyance of unwanted visual artifacts. Nobody likes the Moire or screen-door effect while watching a thriller, to say nothing of sports fans' hatred of onscreen "jutter."

The HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) connection on the HTBD1250 transfers high definition (1080i/720p/1080p) video and audio from your player to your TV, home theater, or other digital A/V components. Simply connect your player to the rest of your components with an HDMI cable for the highest quality pictures and sound. The HDMI connection is also CEC enabled, which means that if you have other HDMI CEC components (like your television and receiver), you'll be able to control all your components with one-touch operation. The CEC allows the components to recognize and communicate with each other in a way that allows you to push a single button on the remote and get the appropriate response from your theater system.
