Four drivers, two speakers, one heck of a sound

The Yamaha MCR-230BL looks its two 2-way bookshelf speakers to serve up all your favorite audio with full lows and crisp detail. To this end, Yamaha pairs a 1" dome tweeter and 4" cone driver in each speaker with a bass-reflex porting system. While the tweeters and cone drivers take care of the high- and mid-range frequencies, the bass-reflex porting enhances bass extension and efficiency for improved low-frequency performance.

These days, your music doesn't come in just one format. You've got CDs, MP3s, AACs, WAVs, and WMAs. Yamaha's MCR-230 microsystem combines playback support for all of these audio formats with a USB port, making it easy to play that new song you just downloaded on the 40W stereo speaker system. And if you're listening to an MP3 mix off of a CD, but you can't remember an artist's name, the MCR-230BL supports CD Text, displaying a disc's information on the receiver unit's LCD display.
