The included wallplate allows the iPort to connect to and play, using RCA cables, through practically any local-zone audio system, and a DC power supply (included) charges the iPod while it is docked in the iPort. See? Simple.

The iPort IW3 is more than just a pretty face. Sonance built it with advanced sound circuitry for solid, component-level audio performance. Rest assured you're getting the best audio performance of any docking product out there. It has all the same features as the IW2 model, such as IR control and easy installation, with the addition of a factory-added balanced audio module and the substitution of a balanced audio wallplate.
Upgrade and expand
The IW3 allows for line-of-sight IR remote control of iPod functions (requires optional remote), and give you balanced audio from the iPod for distances up to 20 feet. It also features quick single-cable RJ-45 connections and RotoLock™ installation for enhanced connectivity and upgradability.
