Meditations on nano
The new compact design means the nano is discrete. The new built-in clip means you can attach the nano to your person for hands-free operation — and the display rotates so you won't have to fuss when it comes time to find a new artist. The 24-hours worth of playback time means you'll never be stuck on the C platform without something to listen to. Plus, the Multi-Touch display lets you experience your music in a new way: tap to play anything you want to hear. Swipe the Home screen to browse your music by songs, albums, artists, playlists, genres, or composers. You can even rearrange the icons on your Home screen so your music is organized just how you like.
New look. Same great Genius features.
Underneath the new glam, this revamped iPod nano is still the nano you love and adore. The Genius feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius playlist for you. A built-in accelerometer allows you to switch between landscape and portrait view on the LCD. Give it a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your library. And the 16GB capacity puts up to 4,000 songs at your disposal.
Nano helps you get fit
Okay, you need to provide the actual motivation, but if you do manage to get off the couch and onto the trail, you'll love nano's pedometer function. It keeps track of time, pace, and calories burned (yes, it's an approximation). And, you can utilize the Nike+ website to track your progress, goal by goal.
Apple improves their vision so you can enjoy your iPod in a whole new way
Music lovers who are vision-impaired can now enjoy iTunes and iPod nano in an entirely new way. New VoiceOver technology — the gesture-based screen reader — reads off menus, artists, and songs. Touch the screen to hear a description of the item under your fingertip. Use the optional Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic to control your music without looking at the screen. For music lovers who are hearing-impaired, Apple's industry-standard 3.5mm headphone jack works with a wide variety of headphones and externally amplified audio speakers. And, last but not least, for music lovers who are on their way to hearing impairment if they don't start turning the volume down, you can protect the maximum volume with a password, so it cannot be changed without permission.
No matter the color, it's green

There is a little bit problem when using the touch screen --- does not always choose exactly at where i press. Although it is easy to correct it happens more often than i expected. Other than that, it is very easy to work with after about 20 minutes, I was able to use it as if i had it for a long time -

I received this as a gift. This is my second iPod. It is more fun than the Suffle that my husband gave me a couple years ago. I really liked the Suffle, but this is a major upgrade. I am able to either listen to my favorite artists or suffle to mix things up. I can hardly wait to try out all the functions available. This will be an exciting adventure. I will be training for another marathon and this iPod will be my coach!!! I am going to set up a program full of warm up, speed up and cool down tunes. Here I go!!!!

This ipod is smaller and sleeker than the old nano but thats where the improvements end. The major and fatal flaw in my opinion is the inability to turn it off. You can only wake and sleep it. Therefore it is always using power. So, you charge it before going to bed and put it to sleep, then wake up and its half dead already. I tried to use it at work and it only played for four hours. Apple shouldve recognized the need for turning it off. They also eliminated some features that the old one had, like games and camera.
