The age of Sonos is here. The Sonos Connect with amp llows you to begin building a wireless whole-home audio solution with its combination of wireless technology and built-in power amplification. Connect the Connect with amp to a pair of speakers and to your home network via an ethernet cable, and you can begin listening to any music stored on your network. Connect to the internet via an ethernet cable, and expand into the realm of internet radio. Place other Sonos ZonePlayers throughout your house and they will create an automatic wireless link to the network-connected Connect with amp. Once these additional ZonePlayers (sold separately) are connected to a speaker system, you'll be able to enjoy all your networked audio anywhere in the house. Guaranteeing a true whole-home audio experience, the Connect with amp SonosNet 2.0 wireless mesh network doubles the wireless range of past ZonePlayers, ensures synchronous music playback, and avoids sources of wireless interference.

Allowing for clear, convenient audio playback wherever you place the Connect with amp 110W of built-in Class-D amplification let you power two channel up to 55W each. Simply connect two speakers to the pair of spring binding posts on the Conect's back panel, and you're ready to push PLAY.

With its multiple connectivity options and support for a wide range of audio formats, the Sonos Connect with amp is prepared to fill your home with all your favorite tunes. Whether it's stored on your computer or streaming from the internet, audio can be recorded in a variety of formats. Giving you the ability to access the great wealth of music both in your personal collection and on the internet, the Connect with amp supports such audio formats as: MP3, WMA, AAC (MPEG4), Obb Vorbis, Audible, Apple Lossless, FLAC, WAV, and AIFF. Enhancing your internet radio experience, the Connect with amp comes preloaded with over 600 internet radio stations. With its rear analog audio inputs, the ZonePlayer lets you connect to other audio sources, such as MP3 players and CD players.

It's got connections

Connectivity is an essential spec for any modern home audio or video component, and the Connect with amp is no exception. Good thing it delivers a versatile array of connections for your whole-home audio experience. Two ethernet ports allow you to connect to your home network or the internet as well as to extend internet connectivity to a set-top box, DVR, PC, or game console. While rear two-channel analog audio inputs allow you to connect an MP3 player or CD player to the Sonos wireless network, a subwoofer output lets you send bass audio to a powered subwoofer. Finally, the two-channel spring binding posts allow you to power two speakers with up to 55W of power each.

We had a new house built and rooms wired for sound and ethernet. Using the sonos system is amazing. The sound quality and the incredible number of free internet stations guarantees that youll never out grow this system. Additionally, we had a NAS added with all of our personal music to the system

I purchased this Sonos Unit to mainly be used for two rooms but have since expanded. The quality of sound when being wirelessly transmitted seems to be uncompromised, it even impressed my son! The hookup was fairly easy as long as you read the details and once installed and hooked up with other Sonos transmitterswireless receivers it is fantastic. The size is really not an issue as the design meshes with our modern décor. I highly suggest this to anyone looking for a quality wireless solution.
