The endless playlist
The music collection on your iPod or MP3 player is about 10,000 songs strong. There's no argument — such a collection is pretty impressive. But these are all your favorites, your "Golden Oldies" (plus a few that you've completely forgotten about, of course). In other words, you still like discovering new music whenever you get the chance. And, as you are well aware, the best place to hear new tunes is the radio — but not just any radio . . . Internet radio services offer a nearly endless supply of new, up-and-coming music, as well as all your favorites. And most of it is free. The only thing that's stopping you, however, is being limited to hearing all that music only at your computer. You could update your iPod or MP3's playlists, but you don't want to listen to headphones at home. You want to listen to your favorites and discover new music, listening from anywhere in your home. You want the Squeezebox Radio from Logitech.
Wired, wireless, whatever
Giving you the ability to listen to the music you want — whether from your existing collection or from online sources — the Logitech Squeezebox Radio combines internet and line-level-audio connectivity. Use the built-in ethernet port or Wi-Fi capability in conjunction with your broadband internet connection or wireless network to stream the latest music from thousands of free internet radio stations as well as from online services ranging from Pandora and Slacker to Rhapsody and SIRIUS Internet Radio. While you can choose to use your computer while streaming audio, the Squeezebox Radio's Always On Internet Radio technology lets you access internet radio even when your PC is turned off. And combined with the built-in rechargeable battery, the SqueezeBox Radio's Wi-Fi capability lets you bring your favorite tunes with you, anywhere in your house. Further, allowing simple, universal access to audio files on your iPod or other MP3 player, the Squeezebox Radio sports a 3.5mm line-level audio input jack and cable for connecting to the headphone output on your portable audio player.
LCD screen, album art, Facebook . . . what can't this do?
These days, if any home electronics device is worth its weight in dirt, it's got to have an LCD screen. One-line digital readouts just don't cut it as interfaces for operation and setup anymore. And what possibility there is with the Squeezebox Radio's 2.4" color LCD screen! Not only does the LCD screen offer simple-to-navigate menus for browsing your music collection and internet radio stations, but it also lets you view album art, track and station information, visualizers, and screen savers. And that's not even the best part. If you have a Facebook account, you can display your page right on the screen, and make instant music recommendations to your friends as soon as you discover a new song or artist! The LCD display also offers a fast guide for setting up and using your SqueezeBox Radio.
Compact, yet room-filling
This goes for any loudspeaker: you want sound that fills your listening area, not a speaker that takes over a room. Bringing you a wide soundscape while allowing for placement anywhere, the compact Squeezebox Radio solves the conundrum. First, measuring only 5.12" H x 8.66" W x 5.04" D, the Squeezebox Radio's footprint is so compact, that it can be placed anywhere from the kitchen counter top to your desk at the office without crowding your workspace. Further, the combination of a 0.75" tweeter and 3.0" woofer delivers a full, vibrant sound powered by a built-in Class D amplifier.
Rise and shine
What better way to start your day than with your favorite radio station, DJ, or playlist? With its built-in alarm clock, you can program the Squeezebox Radio to wake you up with the tunes of your choice. You can even program a different radio station and time for every day of the week. Further, at night, you don't have to worry about being bothered by the light from the LCD display — a built-in ambient-light sensor recognizes light conditions and automatically adjust the panel brightness to fit the environment.
Included with purchase
The following items are included with the purchase of the Logitech Squeezebox Radio: Squeezebox Radio Wi-Fi music player, power adapter with removable plug, user documentation, and a line-in cord for most iPod and other MP3 players with a standard 3.5mm jack.

The idea of an internet radio player is great. Overall, I would say Logitech has a good product and some nice features by setting up your own custom setting in sync with your PC. However, some of its quirkiness can be irritating. We would occasionally get stuck in a loop of two different firmware updates. One firmware would work for normal radio usage, but when you wanted to connect to your personal settings, a different firmware was needed to work. It got to be quite frustrating. Then sometimes it would work fine. Finding documentation on this is impossible, so you kind of have to figure it out on your own.

Received the radio in the time frame they said and it works great. The only drawback is that the rechargeable battery and remote did not come with it. It is very easy to set up and the sound is terrific. I would recommend this radio.

Bought this product for me, after reviewing products from
1. Ihome
2. Sony
3. Denon ad some other brands.
What I Like about it
1. The user interface is simple and quick to configure To find the right music station, which you have to do every time, you need to navigate through the device menu. It is best one out there.
2. Sound quality for this size is good.
What I do not like
1. There is no remote..you have to buy as extra
2. The Line-in cord is too short.
3. Configuring the software on your PC that enables you to stream music via wi-fi to the squeeze box is a nightmare to configure.
4. A bit expensive..shud be around 100USDi got it for 150USD, free shipping
Overall.. a great product.!
*I thought that I will miss the standard FMwhich it does not have, but I dont.

This was a breeze to hook up and interface with my wireless. It is much smaller than my older inetrnet radio from years ago whose company no longer even exists. I am not having the lock ups and freezes that I had with my older internet radio. This is a GREAT ITEM at a GREAT PRICE!I highly recommend it!

Gave the Squeezebox to my daughter for Christmas. First she was thrilled that shell no longer has to carry her bedroom radio to the bathroom in the morning as she gets ready for school. The set up was easy and she had it up and playing in about 10 minutes. She has access to my pandora account as well as the music on her imac. It was a home-run. The sound is very good, nice a rich......I hope to get one for my birthday. Great buy and value 5 star.
