Set the music free |
The Sonos ZonePlayer 90 (ZP90) brings great sounding music to any room in your house. And we do mean any room. All you have to do is plug it in to your existing audio equipment — your home theater, receiver, stereo system, powered speakers, and more &mdash and enjoy the music. The digital and analog outputs, connected to your favorite sound system, deliver your favorite tunes to every room. Control volume from your Sonos or audio components. |
Wireless, multi-room digital music |
Yep, wires be gone! Sonos liberates the music on your computer and the Internet so you can play it all, all over the house. Wherever there's a ZP90 (or any other ZonePlayer), you can listen to your personal collection of music stored on your computer, plus thousands of free Internet radio stations. And Sonos works seamlessly with the most popular music services so you can stream millions of songs and stations from the Internet to the rooms of your choice. You can even connect the ZP90 to your favorite audio source such as an iPod or CD player and listen on all the ZonePlayers throughout your house.
NOTE: The first ZonePlayer you install must connect to your home network using a standard Ethernet cable. SonosNet technology is a secure AES encrypted, peer-to-peer wireless mesh network that streams music wirelessly to other ZonePlayers, avoiding sources of wireless interference while ensuring synchronous music playback. Multi-zone synchronous playback plays the same song simultaneously in up to 32 different zones (extra ZonePlayers required) without echoes or delays. Multi-stream playback plays different songs simultaneously in up to 32 different zones. |
Supports multiple music formats |
The ZP90 plays music from your personal digital music collection, music services, Internet radio, or all of the above. It accesses music stored on up to 16 PCs, Macs, or NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices on your home network, as well as music services and Internet radio stations, and even CD or MP3 players connected to a ZonePlayer. The ZP90 supports compressed MP3, WMA (including purchased Windows Media downloads), AAC (MPEG4), Ogg Vorbis, Audible (format 4), Apple Lossless, Flac (lossless) music files, as well as uncompressed WAV and AIFF files. Now that's what I call ear candy! |
Supports multiple media sources |
The ZonePlayer 90 plays Internet radio stations using streaming MP3 or WMA formats. ZonePlayer comes with over 600 pre-programmed radio stations and it's simple to add more via the Sonos Desktop Controller (sold separately). Music from an external audio source (such as a CD player, radio or MP3 player) connected to a ZP90 can be played by all other ZonePlayers in the system. You get support for music services like Best Buy™ Digital Music Store, Napster™, Pandora®, Rhapsody® 3.0+, SIRIUS®, Internet Radio, and downloads from any service offering DRM-free tracks. Playlists from Rhapsody, iTunes, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, and MusicMatch (.m3u, .pls, .wpl) can also be played. |
Setup's a cinch |
The ZonePlayer 90 gives you automatic wired or wireless setup. You can initialize your new ZP90 with the press of a single button. The expandable system design allows you to expand your digital music system room by room. Sonos system software supports English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The ZP90 fits in spaces where traditional stereo components and shelf systems cannot. A front panel volume control provides quick and easy access to volume and mute controls when you don't have a Controller in hand. |
Other cool features |
The ZP90 gives you some extra features that you're sure to appreciate, like an alarm with clock, snooze, sleep timer, and scheduler features. Set the alarm to wake up to your favorite music or Internet radio station in one room or all over the house. Fall asleep to soothing music with the sleep timer. Use the scheduler to play music at a specific time for a set duration (great for that 30-minute workout). Automatic library indexing lets you schedule your library to automatically update on a daily basis. This is ideal for updated podcasts and Audible content. The ZP90 has two Ethernet ports that can be used to connect other devices to the home network through SonosNet. |
Internet connection requirements |
Internet connection required for access to Internet radio stations, online music services, and software updates (DSL, cable modem or LAN-based high-speed Internet connection required.) Internet functionality may require payment of separate fee to a service provider; local and/or long distance telephone charges may apply. |
