| As amazing as it seems, the YSP3000 actually delivers multiple channels of sound just like a conventional system with front, center and surround speakers. It does this by directing sound at certain angles around the room. Just imagine that sound is made of pool balls, and that your entertainment room is the pool table — the YSP3000 uses the walls to reflect audio. This reflective action creates the very impressive illusion that sound comes from all the directions your DVD or HDTV programming sends it. | Ok, here's the tech talk: The YSP3000 incorporates digital amplifiers that power 21 beam drivers at 2 watts each and two woofers at 20 watts each for a total of 82 watts of power. Worried all that wall-bouncing is going to create sound distortion? Well, don't. Its advanced digital design is highly efficient and keeps distortion to an absolute minimum. Thanks to Yamaha's ultra-sophisticated CINEMA DSP technology, the YSP3000 creates thrillingly realistic soundscapes in your room. And, to customize your experience, three CINEMA DSP programs are available (Movie, Music and Sports). The YSP3000 is also ready for Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie, Music and Game) and DTS Neo:6 (Cinema and Music) sound formats. |

Automatic Room Calibration: It "Learns" To Match Your Room |

| Ok. We all know that most homes are not identical. So how could the same Sound Projector sound just as great in your home as it does in someone else's? Well, the way you get this system to work for your particular room is with Yamaha's exclusive IntelliBeam Automated Calibration. The YSP3000 comes with a microphone that you use during setup; with the microphone, the system automatically sets the best beam angles and modes, for the best surround sound possible. This makes initial setup both extremely simple and acoustically perfect. And, if you're an audiophile and you like to tweak things yourself, manual setup is also possible. The YSP3000's version of IntelliBeam is third-generation, meaning you get updated calibration technology. |

| During low-volume listening, such as late at night, dynamic range suffers and you may miss some sounds. The Night Listening Enhancer offers two settings: Cinema and Music, with three-levels within those choices, to ensure you don't miss movie dialogue or quiet passages, or lose overall surround spaciousness.
