CD + CD-R/CD-RW Recorder

The CDRW1500 uses separate CD and CD-R/CD-RW drives in a single unit to provide you with a variety of recording and playback options for CDs and recordable CD-R and CD-RW discs. Recording is possible not only from CDs but from externally connected analog sources as well.

Dual-Purpose Component

The CDRW1500 is a CD + CD-R/CD-RW recorder with separate CD and CD-R/CD-RW drives in a single unit to provide you with a variety of recording and playback options for CDs and recordable CD-R and CD-RW discs. Recording is possible not only from CDs but from externally connected analog sources as well. The CDRW1500 offers the convenient Scan Rec Dubbing function that lets you scan for the tracks you want before you record them. Playback features include Dual Play, for independent playback from the CD and CD-R/CD-RW drives, as well as a wealth of recording/playback combinations that take advantage of the two independent drives.

More Ways to Record

There are a number of ways to record on the CDRW1500. As mentioned before, Scan Recording lets you easily find tracks you want to record. It plays a few seconds of each track, and when you want to record a track, you just press a button. The Synchronized Recording function starts the recording session automatically as soon as it detects the audio signal input from the sound source. The Make CD Dubbing mode automatically finalizes a recording (compiles track information on the CD-R disc) following Disc Synchronized Recording. And Disc Dubbing mode allows you to directly record all information such as text from HDCD, CD Text discs, or discs you have made yourself. You can also take advantage of 1-Track Recording to record just one track from a CD.

Time To Play

A wealth of playback options await you with the CDRW1500. Dual Play mode lets you play discs simultaneously in both the CD drive and the CD-R/CD-RW drive. Since sound can be output independently from each drive, you can connect a commercially available mixer to enjoy mixing the sound. The CD drive has a built-in HDCD decoder, which lets you enjoy the improved fidelity of HDCD-encoded CDs. You can also take advantage of Repeat modes (1 Track/All Tracks/A-B) to listen to your favorite tunes again and again. Mix Program Play lets you enjoy programmed playback from one or both drives, and Mix Random Play also uses both drives, but mixes things up for you. Finally, in Relay Play mode, the CDRW1500 automatically continues play from the CD drive to the CD-R/CD-RW drive.

Name That Tune

The CDRW1500 lets you input the disc title and titles for each track onto the CD-R or CD-RW disc which can then be displayed on the unit's front panel. (These items must be input before the disc recording is finalized.) The CDRW1500 can display text information on the display when playing CD Text discs which contain text information in English. NOTE: A portion of the text input on a commercially available disc supporting CD Text may not be correctly displayed on the CDRW1500.
