A century of audio excellence
Denon is celebrating 100 years of audio excellence by releasing their 100th anniversary series of audio products. Since they produced their first audio component in 1910, Denon has strived to create high quality, beautifully designed consumer and professional audio equipment. By seeking out and hiring engineers who have a passion for music, or are musicians themselves, Denon ensures that those designing their products have only one goal in mind: creating audio equipment that creates or reproduces sound as it should be heard. With their limited edition anniversary line of products, they are re-releasing and re-imagining some of their favorite designs and products, keeping what has made them classics, and updating them so that they fit in with the demands of today's home audio connoisseur.
A history of processing
Denon pioneered PCM recording devices, the technology that would eventually lead to CD's, in the 1970's giving them nearly 40 years of experience with high quality digital sound. Denon continues this legacy with the DCDA100. Utilizing an advanced AL32 processor, and 192kHz/32bit DA converters to boost the amount of digital audio information available, the DCDA100 makes sure you're getting the most out of your music. Optimized signal paths, and a high-end DAC master clock makes sure that all information sent through your system goes where it needs to with less chance of introducing additional signal corruption. All this adds up to audio that's true to its source, with nothing subtracted.
Everything in its place
You've chosen every part of your home audio system to maximize your listening enjoyment. Denon takes the same care with the DCDA100, choosing each and every part in the DCDA100 to enhance the player's audio performance. The power supply uses an upgraded transformer, and separates the digital and analog power supplies to enhance the sound quality from each function. A large block condenser is used to make sure that the power you're getting is clean and even, reducing any noise introduced from outside the unit. The motor shaft controlling disc spin has been shortened as much as possible to reduce vibration, and the alignments of the beam axis and turntable axis are corrected and tuned for each individual unit to enhance the accuracy of disc reading. Even the cast-iron feet were chosen to enhance stability in order to contribute to the sound quality — the DCDA100 is truly optimized from head to foot!
Digital music comes home
Music comes from more sources than ever, so the DCDA100 is prepared to help you enjoy more than just your CDs and SACDs. The front USB port has been made for iPod, and because it's linked directly into the player's digital processor, it's able to give you the best possible audio quality from your compressed music files. You can also plug in other USB devices to play your MP3 and WMA files. A compressed music enhancer completes the audio experience by restoring signals lost during the compression process.
Looking beyond sound
The high quality design isn't limited to sound. A special high gloss black finish makes sure this is a piece you'll want to showcase in your home audio system. The unit also has a low standby power, consuming only 0.3W of power so that it stands ready for use, but makes a minimal impact on the environment (and your wallet). A 5-year warranty means you can be sure that the DCDA100 will be with you for a long time. This beautiful piece of equipment will be the envy of your home audio system.
Your place in audio history
Denon has had a long history, and your 100th anniversary CD/SACD player is part of that. Because of the precise care given to each of the limited edition pieces they make, a certificate of authentication signed by the chief production engineer who hand crafted your player is included with the Denon DCDA100. A special anniversary logo badge adorns the cabinet, letting everyone know how far great sound has come.
