Setting up a turntable can be difficult, but fortunately, Pro-Ject's RM 1.3 belt-drive turntable requires minimal setup. Installation should only take a few minutes with a pre-matched, factory-mounted tonearm and phono cartridge and then you just need to dial in key settings like tracking force, anti-skating, and platter speed. Under the platter, you'll notice RM 1.3's three-point MDF chassis. This triangular-shaped design helps resist vibrations that can ruin sonic detail. The turntable rests on three nylon cone feet to further reduce noise. The RM 1.3's heavy MDF platter spins on a precision axle and bearing for superior speed stability and smooth, silent rotation. The isolated motor assembly and belt drive system keep motor vibration away from the chassis, preventing noise from being transferred to the cartridge. An external AC power supply reduces the chance of hum.
