It's called Advanced Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System, or MCACC, and it works in any room regardless of shape or size. Automatic MCACC set-up uses a microphone to monitor a room's acoustic environment, then determines the size and number of speakers, as well as channel level and listener-to-speaker distances. This Pioneer Elite receiver even has a 9-band equalizer for more precise adjustment. In other words, your receiver adjusts its own setting to the exact sound dynamics of your listening area, so you don't have to. The Pioneer SC-07 receiver may not actually be a spy (you hope), but it is a decoding expert. This model is capable of decompressing your audio signals into a plethora of different formats, including Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and even a Neural Surround decoder for XM-HD. But the fun doesn't stop at high-definition decoding; this receiver features numerous other decoding formats, such as Dolby Digital EX, Dolby ProLogic IIx, DTS 96/24, DTS-ES, DTS Neo: 6, and Dolby Digital Plus. So, while your new receiver may not work for MI6, it can certainly decode signals like a double-0 agent. |

Start with four HDMI v1.3a inputs and two HDMI outputs. Add three component video inputs, and two component outputs, then include seven S-Video inputs (2 out). Throw in seven Composite Video inputs, and another two out, and you've built a good foundation, but we're not done yet. Inputs are there for XM Satellite Radio and/or Sirius Satellite Radio (hardware, subscription, and activation fees apply for satellite radio) to create the dream team of media connectivity. There's a USB 2.0 Memory Input on the front for reminiscing with close friends and family, and also an Ethernet input on the back for computer connectivity, so you can access home media and internet radio through your home theater set-up. Four Analog Audio Inputs, an Analog Audio Output, a phono input, and an 8-channel multi-input add to your options. Package that with five optical inputs, three coaxial inputs, and two optical outputs for a total of 9 digital audio ports. In addition, this model features 8-channel pre-output and a headphone jack. Two assignable 12-volt trigger ports, an RS-232C connection, front A/V inputs, a System Remote Plus port, and two IR inputs and an IR output jack complete the connections. To ice the cake throw in video up-scaling to 1080p (on HDMI), thanks to Faroudja DCDi technology.
