Advancing a long-standing tradition of high-quality audio, these speakers feature Bose® proprietary Direct/Reflecting® speaker technology to re-create lifelike, spacious sound. At a live performance, much of the sound you hear is reflected off the walls, ceiling and floor. Only a small percentage (about 11 percent) reaches you directly. It's this combination of reflected and direct sound that makes music sound live. With conventional speakers, virtually all of the sound is radiated directly into the room. Much of the spaciousness of the live performance is lost. Direct/Reflecting® speaker technology can recreate the ratio of reflected and direct sound similar to what you hear at a live show. You enjoy a natural balance of reflected and direct sound for a listening experience most conventional speakers cannot match. Music sounds similar to what you'd hear at a concert, while movie sound effects resonate much the way they do at the theater. |

These particular speakers feature two 2" tweeters, one facing the room, the other firing out the back to provide a wider, more natural soundstage, making even a small room seem bigger and more spacious. A new port design helps deliver deeper, cleaner bass to enhance the impact of DVD special effects and TV sports. A spatial dispersion lens gives smoother high-frequency response and wider distribution of sound. |
