When it comes to speakers, loud alone doesn't equal great. Clarity and precision are far more important in sound reproduction, and the Klipsch VF-35 floorstanding speaker delivers in spades. Klipsch packed this slender beauty with three 5.25" fiber-composite woofer cones that are lightweight, yet powerful. You'll hear enough bass out of these drivers to forgo a subwoofer, if you so choose. The frequency response starts at 41Hz with a low frequency extension of 38Hz. On the upper end, a single 1" aluminum-dome Tractrix Horn-loaded tweeter with XT technology covers up to 23kHz. The Tractrix Horn's carefully calculated flare dramatically increases driver efficiency, allowing production of very high sound levels with minimal amplifier power and no strain or distortion. It also controls the sound's directivity, ensuring excellent coverage of the listening area while minimizing detail-obscuring reflections off of walls, floor, and ceiling. Fed by a smooth, accurate titanium-dome tweeter, the Tractrix Horn is the key to the vibrantly realistic, emotionally compelling Klipsch Sound Experience. In order to maintain an even transition between drivers, the VF-35 uses high-definition, precision-voiced crossovers for tighter tolerance and higher accuracy. The result is an impressive "front and center" soundstage. Finally, it might sound great, but if it doesn't look great, there's a good chance it won't find a place in your living room. The VF-35 features a slim design with a furniture-grade wood veneer top cap for a very subtle but stylish look. The top grill is removeable, and the bottom grill is fixed to protect the woofers from damage.
