A combination of elegant design, sophisticated driver technology, and Mirage's exclusive OMNIPOLAR technology make this floorstanding loudspeaker the ideal solution for virtually any sound application. With a system frequency response of 33Hz to 20KHz, this system defines the highest standard of home theater sound. The OMD-15 features a 5.5" Poly Titanium Deposit Hybrid midbass driver, a 5.5" passive radiator, and powerful 5.5" Poly Titanium Deposit Hybrid woofer with down-firing port -- each featuring Mirage's patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround and all mounted in a beautifully curved sealed cabinet. Floating above the woofer is a precisely angled cast aluminum version of Mirage's proprietary OMNIGUIDE module. This OMNIGUIDE module houses the latest generation of Mirage's world-renowned 1" Pure Titanium Hybrid Tweeter. The OMD-15 cabinet is internally divided into two sections. The top section features the tweeter, one of two woofers, and the passive radiator for greater bass extension. The bottom section of the cabinet houses the other woofer in a down-ported enclosure. This ingenious design allows the OMD-15 to generate exceptionally low frequency reproduction considering the very small footprint of the cabinet. The combination of these state of the art drive units, the rigid curved cabinet design, and the latest OMNIPOLAR technology make the OMD-15 one the best speakers Mirage has ever built.
