Sixty years and a zillion devotees later, you might say Klipsch got his wish.

Like the original, the 60th anniversary Klipschorn spans more than nine full octaves with rich, full, smooth, ultra-low distortion sound, only now it comes with solid panels that enclose its rear high- and low-frequency cabinets. In addition to amping up the pretty factor, this never-before-seen feature eliminates corner fit and response issues. It also accommodates toe in placement, another Klipschorn first. Other than that, purists will breath a sigh of relief to find that the driver content and basic cabinet configuration remains untouched. Does it have the Model K-33-E 15" fiber-composite cone woofer with trihedral exponential folded horn? Check. Does it have the Model K-55-X 2" Phenolic Diaphragm Compression Midrange Driver With Exponential MF Horn? Check. The 1" Phenolic Diaphragm Compression Driver Tweeter? Check. For signal purity and driver integration, each speaker also has an updated crossover network made with premium components, featuring high-end Van den Hul CS14 copper-silver multi-strand internal wiring. Magnetic grille posts allow for secure attachment and easy removal of the low frequency grilles, while top-grade WBT binding posts ensure optimal signal transfer and a secure connection to any type of cable. Like all Klipsch products, the Klipschorn features Horn-loaded Technology--the guiding design for the first Klipschorn developed in 1946 and for each and every one that has followed in the 60 years of its uninterupted production. Horn-loading allows the speaker to deliver very high sensitivity, low distortion, flat frequency response, and broad, controlled dispersion. Cosmetic Distinction

With a limited run of only 200 pairs, the 60th anniversary Klipschorn is a signed and numbered, meticulously crafted work of audio artistry, designed to enable the high quality sonic performance of the concert hall, in your living room. It is also meticulously crafted to look remarkably cool in all its retro glory, adorned with distinct aesthetic features that will never be available again. While each speaker's high-frequency cabinet is decked out in a high gloss black piano finish, the front panel of the low-frequency cabinet comes in a sophisticated lacewood veneer. The black anodized solid aluminum kick plate at the bottom of the speaker features a silver PWK (Paul Wilbur Kipsch, the company founder) logo with an inset real diamond, the stone that symbolically represents a 60 year anniversary. For the first time ever, the rear of the speaker has received a cosmetic and functional "facelift" as well. Solid panels now enclose the rear high frequency and low frequency cabinets to add a more elegant appearance, eliminate any corner and response issues, and, for the first time in the Klipschorn's history, allow for toe in or out placement. Two windows are cut in the back of each anniversary Klipschorn: one to display the upgraded crossover network and the other encasing an engraved silver plaque that honors PWK and lists the speaker's limited production number. Assembled by skilled craftsmen in Hope, Arkansas, where the Klipsch legacy began, these speakers have a legacy like no other.
