Boston built the A26 bookshelf speaker to deliver high-end sound for a low-end price. A 1" Kortec soft-dome tweeter and 6.5" woofer combine to cover a frequency range of 51Hz to 25kHz. The woofer features an advanced ceramic/glass fiber polymer cone and Deep Channel Design for louder, cleaner bass. The cabinet, an attractively curved style, was precisely designed to minimize resonance.

Boston approached the A Series of loudspeaker with one goal in mind: offer a superior sound product for a budget-friendly price. And note for note, the A 26 bookshelf speaker more than exceeds the standards set by similarly priced models. The two drivers in the A 26 are precisely engineered to generate the most natural sound. The 1" Kortec soft-dome tweeter emits crystal-clear highs. Boston used advanced ceramic and glass fiber polymers to increase the strength and stiffness of the 6.5" woofer cone. They also developed Deep Channel Design, which allows the cone more movement. The resulting sound is clean, accurate, and efficient. The A 26 requires less power to produce more volume. Thoughtful design didn't stop with the speaker drivers, though. The cabinet plays a big role in a speaker's sound, acting as a mangifying chamber and helping reduce vibration and resonance so the sound you hear is just what's on the track you're listening to. The A 26 features a tuned resonant port to extend and solidify the bass output from the woofer. Internal bracing and extra-thick side panels minimize distortion and unrelated noise. As an added benefit, the final design of the bookshelf speaker cabinet is elegant and curved, making the A26 an attractive addition to your room. Incorporating the speaker into your sound system is easy with the five-way, gold-plated binding posts. The easiest part, though, is listening to pure, natural sound and knowing you got a great deal.
