A Complete System

The HKTS8 Home Cinema Speaker System takes the guesswork out of choosing a surround sound system. Frequency response, dispersion and dynamic ranges of each individual component have been carefully matched so that front, rear and center channels blend together instead of competing with each other. The HKTS8 subwoofer has been tuned to seamlessly extend low-frequency response without "boomyness" or loss of midrange detail. Special attention has also been paid to styling. All-Around Performance

This seven-piece home theater speaker system includes a 10-inch, 100-watt, bass-reflex, powered subwoofer; five identical, 2-way satellite speakers for use in the left and right front and rear speaker positions; a dedicated, dual-midrange, center speaker; wall-mount brackets for the five satellites; and all of the speaker cables you need to connect your speakers to your receiver or preamp/processor and amplifier. The five satellite speakers and center speaker make for crisp, clear reproduction of dialogue, and seamless pans and flyovers. The subwoofer delivers thunderous special effects. All speakers (with the exception of the subwoofer) are also video-shielded. So, with one package, you get everything you need to treat yourself to truly delicious surround sound.

No Substitute Subwoofer

The subwoofer that comes with this surround sound system delivers top-notch connectivity, as well as terrific low-end sound. The 100-watt powered subwoofer is easy to connect to your system, since it is equipped with a special subwoofer input for use with equipment that has a dedicated subwoofer connection that carries a low-frequency output. Other conveniences include level control and a low-pass filter switch for fine-tuning bass response to match room acoustics. The subwoofer also automatically senses the audio signal and powers on or off as needed. This subwoofer definitely provides an easy way to put some boom in your room.
