Research proves that in a live musical environment, approximately 30% of what we hear is direct sound while 70% is reflected from walls, ceilings, and floors and only reaches our ears a few milliseconds after the direct sound. What's Under The Hood
The OMNISAT v2 series speakers feature some of the finest components, materials, and manufacturing techniques available today. These speakers pack a punch because they combine innovative design and state-of-the-art materials into one revolutionary speaker. They feature the latest generation of OMNIGUIDE technology including the famous Pure Titanium Hybrid (PTH) tweeter - which first made its appearance in the legendary Mirage M1si, the world's best-known Bipolar speaker. PTH tweeters earned worldwide recognition for their crystal clear and lifelike high-frequency reproduction, low distortion, and wide dispersion. The PTH tweeter dome is mated to a compliant cloth suspension, eliminating the harsh ringing effect often found with metal domes. The new Mirage 4.5 mid-bass driver is constructed with injection-molded polypropylene, impregnated with graphite, carbon, mica, then titanium coated, to provide increased strength and rigidity in a super-light cone. I Purchased 2 of these to add to my kef surround I used them as the front channel I purchased these initially because I wanted the big sound as I have high ceilings so the Omni-directional sound was appealing, and they do not disappoint. Im powering them with an onkyo 705. The incredible sound really fills the room very big sound from a very small footprint. They feel very solid, the included mounts are very easy to use, the connectors are very high quality. I actually like the look without the grill unlike most speakers these dont look bad at all without the grill. The way these things were packed you would think I was getting some sort of priceless vase very well protected.
The only thing I can say I would change is that it is recommended that you turn them upside-down if they are mounted above 6 feet and the logo is upside down but really thats the only complaint I have

Great little satellite speakers and extremely so when considering their sale price. I have 4 of them in the platinum and black paired with a v2 center channel speaker hooked up to a Harmon Kardon 354 receiver. The sound is very clear and transparent. Imaging is absolutely wonderful. The best part of the imaging is that with the omnipolar design, you get the great imaging no matter what part of the room youre in as long as its within the 5 channels. With normal speakers, if Im sitting closer to 1 speaker than the others, the nearest speaker can overwhelm the sound of the others. Not with these speakers. You can still hear the bullets, spaceships or whatever zinging all around you in the intended manner no matter what end of the sofa you sit on - left, right, front, and back. The sounds are placed perfectly, no matter where you are in the room. Wonderful and detailed soundstage. You can place the instruments within the recording studio based on the sound emitted by these little fellas. Oh yeah, since theyre small and can mount on the walls theyre very wife-friendly too!
Keep in mind that these are satellite speakers, so they will sound a bit thin without a sub. But with a sub, the sound is lush and spectacular. The sound from these are not overly bright, like you might find with Klipche. Theyre very natural sounding without the shrill highs you get from some speakers with metal dome or horn tweeters. I can listen to them all day without my ears getting tired, even though I brightened them up with a few tweaks of the treble controls on my receiver. With the sub and the treble tweaks, these babies are pure joy to listen to. Better than the movie theater or dance club.
The mounting brackets are nice too. You can mount them upside down, which is recommended if youre placing them above 6 on the walls. They look great and are very solid. Great build quality that extends to the wire terminals too. The binding posts are high quality and accept just about any means of connections you want.
Lastly, I was very impressed with Vanns. This is my first order from them. The speakers shipped quickly and arrived fast - a day early, in fact. Great prices, quality products, shipped promptly and in perfect condition. Cant ask for much more than that! Ill be a returning customer!
