Mythos Gem XL loudspeakers take the style and elegance of the Mythos Series, with curved, hand-polished aluminum enclosures, and deliver it up in a compact, high performance model that is perfect for use as a surround speaker in a Mythos system, or as the main left or right channel in a compact sub/sat system. The Gem, which utilizes an angled baffle design and complex Linkwitz-Riley crossover network, delivers wide dispersion and excellent imaging with a deep soundstage. The Gem XL is extremely versatile, and can be wall mounted using its stainless steel mounting plate (included), pivoting wall mount brackets (optional), or used with the beautiful custom designed matching aluminum and glass GemStand (optional).

High performance in any situation

The Mythos Gem XLs are yet another astonishing breakthrough for Definitive Technology and today's state-of-the-art home theater. The Gems make the distinctive Mythos look (an internally braced, hand-polished, aircraft grade aluminum enclosure) available in superbly designed high performance compact loudspeakers. Because they are voice-matched with the complete Mythos Series, they're perfect for use as compact, convenient surround speakers in a system made up of larger Mythos main speakers, or as a complete Gem-only compact high performance home theater system when combined with a Mythos Seven center channel speaker and a SuperCube or two! Or, use Mythos with any other loudspeaker system at all. Mythos Gem speakers are the most flexible Mythos ever.

Mythos Gem XL speakers feature an easy-to-use keyhole slot bracket (and mounting screws) for simple wall mounting that looks amazing next to your wall mounted flat screen television. Or use the custom GemStand, with its flowing lines and hidden wire guide, for a superbly coherent and elegant modern look with the convenience of floorstanding speakers. You can also use popular articulating wall mount brackets (available separately).
