The speaker |
Klipsch dispels the myth that bigger always means better by introducing the compact RSX5 satellite loudspeaker in its best-selling Reference Series line. For the first time, the Reference Series legacy of advanced technology and visual sophistication extends into a lifestyle category. The RSX5 combines performance, style and functionality for users seeking dynamic sound and an elegant appearance, but that require a small, unobtrusive speaker for their home entertainment systems. It can serve as either a left or right monitor, or as a surround speaker. |
The 'highs' |
The RSX5 boasts outstanding high-frequency reproduction by utilizing a 1" titanium-dome compression driver coupled to Klipsch's new round horn design.
Raising the driver's efficiency, the MicroTractrix&trade horn molded into the front of the tweeter's cast-aluminum baffle controls its radiation pattern to minimize detail-blurring reflections from walls, floor, and ceiling. This means sharp and focused high-frequency audio performance. |
The 'lows' |
Complementing the high-frequency performance of its 1" tweeter, the RSX5 is designed with an advanced 5.25" woofer driver, achieving remarkable sonic detail. The woofer is a long-throw unit powered by a unique neodymium motor structure. Its Cerametallic&trade cone is lightweight with excellent rigidity, which dramatically reduces any resonance. As a result, the RSX5 is capable of robust bass extending low enough for comfortable operation with today's built-in A/V preamp/processor and receiver crossovers. Additionally, a vented bass-reflex design delivers enhanced low-frequency reproduction from a smaller enclosure. |
The sound |
Don't worry, ducking at the sound of fighter-planes flying over your head, or jumping at the creaking of a door right behind you is perfectly normal. Even the sudden urge to leap up out of your seat and dance like a fool is completely understandable. Integrating bookshelf speakers into your home audio system helps complete your audio experience. Listener-enveloping effects from surround-sound channels on your favorite blockbusters reach your ears from all angles, thanks to the placement of auxiliary speakers around your viewing area. The all-encompassing sound stage you experience at concerts is recreated in your living room when your music is broadcast from multiple speakers placed throughout your listening area. The realism of your home audio experience depends, however, upon the level of design and performance of your satellite speakers. The RSX5 bookshelf speaker combines advanced, high-performance driver design with a subtle enclosure size that means your living room will be filled with incredibly clear and detailed sound, and not with large, bulky speaker cabinets. Completing your home audio experience, the RSX5 integrates well with all Klipsch subwoofers, providing a perfect complement to your system's low-frequency reproduction. |
