Finally, the 8" powered subwoofer completes the audio experience, adding deep, controlled bass audio that you can both hear and feel.

Advanced bass audio

For improved low-frequency bass audio reproduction, the NS-SP1800's subwoofer has been outfitted with Advanced Yahama Active Servo Technology (YST). A unique sound-reproduction system, YST allows both speaker and amplifier to work together to cancel out impedance, achieving improved linear motion of the driver. YST ensures the highest levels of sound pressure and overall performance.

Magnetically shielded for versatile placement

As you might be aware, speakers rely on powerful magnets to reproduce the sound on your favorite albums and movie soundtracks. What you might not know, however, is that speaker magnets can potentially interfere with or damage other A/V components when placed too near to these other devices. Preventing damage and helping to ensure optimal performance &mdash as well as allowing for versatile placement — all of the speakers in the NS-SP1800 system have been magnetically shielded.
