A Protected Access Connection Terminal (PACT) system increases the speakers' weather resistance with grommeted rear wire entry ports and covered front wire connectors. Polypropylene enclosure construction and perforated-aluminum grilles further enhance the Mariner 51s' weather resistance.

No ordinary mounts — Fastmount®s

We all know that, when it comes to audio performance, speaker placement is crucial, but it is equally important when considering outdoor placement. Not only do you need to be able to exercise more placement control so as to achieve your desired audio soundstage, but you also face a much wider variety of potential mounting surfaces than that typically found indoors. With their Fastmount® bracket mounting system, the Mariner 51 speakers offer versatile outdoor-mounting options. First, the ability to pivot a full 180° combines with click-stops, providing optimal directivity and precise, repeatable speaker-angle positioning for these Sonance speakers. Second, Fastmount mounts allow Mariner 51 speakers to be horizontally mounted across a corner with no additional hardware, and will accommodate 2.5" U-bolts (not included) for mounting on poles. Finally, push-and-lock speaker installation eliminates clumsy threaded knobs; the locks are hidden behind the grille for added security.
