Because of its THX™ Ultra2 certification, the KL7800THX works well with multi-channel movie and music presentations playing up to reference levels in rooms of 3,000 cubic feet or larger. The KL7800THX is also capable of delivering the same high-output, low distortion signature sound as its traditional enclosure counterpart, the KL525THX. It employs an 8" aluminum woofer and a 1" titanium dome compression driver mated to a Tractrix® Horn. This advanced horn design dramatically increases efficiency and allows the speaker to produce more output using less energy.

The Tractrix® experience

Tractrix® Horns have always been the key component of many Klipsh speakers. It's a horn-shaped device inside the speaker that sends sound effortlessly into the room. The Tractrix Horn's carefully calculated flare dramatically increases driver efficiency, allowing production of very high sound levels with minimal amplifier power and no strain or distortion. It also controls the sound's directivity, ensuring excellent coverage of the listening area while minimizing detail-obscuring reflections off of walls, floor, and ceiling. Fed by a smooth, accurate titanium-dome tweeter, the Tractrix Horn is the key to the vibrantly realistic, emotionally compelling Klipsch Sound Experience.

Featuring an integrated back box enclosure, the KL7800THX's response is both predictable and repeatable. Because this enclosure fits easily within the loudspeaker's footprint, the KL7800THX can be installed into new or existing construction. Combine this dynamic loudspeaker with Klipsch's KS7800THX in-wall surround, KW120THX subwoofer and KA1000THX subwoofer amplifier to create a variety of THX Ultra2 in-wall system configurations. The KL7800THX can also be mixed and matched with the Klipsch THX Ultra2 traditional box products.
