For high-fidelity sound from a modern, elegant in-ceiling speaker, Sonance offers the VP85R speaker pair, part of the Visual Performance series' second tier. While the Visual Performance series' 6" speaker pairs rely on 2-way tweeter/woofer designs, the 8"-class VP85R adds a midrange driver to the mix for a full-range audio experience. While each speaker's round shape complements many modern in-ceiling light fixtures, high-performance driver construction offers advanced audio reproduction. First, each speaker's 1.0" silk-dome, ferrofluid-cooled tweeter delivers clear, detailed high-frequency audio. Second, the added 4.0" carbon-fiber midrange drivers and the 8.0" carbon-fiber cone woofers serve up full, controlled midrange and low-frequency audio for a complete home audio experience.

As mentioned above, versatility is the Visual Performance series' modus operandi. Keeping in line with this raison d'être, the VP85R features pivoting drivers. Both the tweeter/midrange driver and woofer drivers can be manually positioned for optimal directivity of the speakers' audio toward your listening area. Grilles with "magnetic" personalities

The only thing better than the integrated, modern look of an in-wall and in-ceiling home audio system is achieving that look without the hassle of a complicated installation. Sonance has kept "ease of installation" in mind when designing the VP85R in-ceiling speaker pair. First, the VP85R can be retrofitted into existing cutouts for 8" Sonance Original series speakers without any modification. This makes for a seamless audio-system upgrade. Second, the VP85R's grilles and flanges can be painted to match or complement your home theater's décor. Finally, for even greater ease of installation, the VP85R's grilles attach to the speaker housing via powerful magnets. Easy installation and audiophile-quality sound.
