Good sound centers on the details
You depend on your center channel to provide clear, audible vocals. That's why Energy's Veritas V-Mini-C center channel, in all its petite glory, won't let you down. The tweeters bring together wide dispersion characteristics and superior off-axis response thanks to the stable aluminum dome design. And by using Energy's proprietary Convergent Source Module design, the tweeter and midrange drivers are housed in separate chambers. This both lowers resonance by eliminating unwanted interaction between high and low frequencies and allows for high power handling capabilities.
Changing the way distortion is dealt with
Energy doesn't believe faithful sound reproduction is going to come from run-of-the-mill speaker design. That's why they developed the Ribbed Elliptical Surround. The elliptical shaped surround, as opposed to the traditional half roll design, reduces distortion dramatically. The elliptical design also increases the size of the excursion and piston area, which in turn, provides greater efficiency. The result is clean, pure life-like sound.
Energy
This speaker boasts big sound, accurate sound, and can also boast of a great legacy of sound. Energy has been crafting their high quality speaker for over 30 years, focusing on creating flat on-axis frequency response, wide bandwidth, and low distortion and resonance. They haven't been doing it by guessing either — Energy uses knowledge gained while involved with early Canadian studies on pyschoacoustics (that is, the study of sound perception) and applied that to their speakers. So not only do their speakers get engineered with a passion for great sound, they get engineered with a passion for knowing why they sound so good. All boiled down though, the big winner is your ears, and that's a legacy worth talking about.

So far, I've been blown away by Energy speakers. Purchased a pair of RC-10s a few weeks ago to use as fronts and then picked up this speaker to use as a center channel. Great speaker, great power, very clear sound.

I needed something smaller for my bedroom. and this speaker fit the bill quite nicely. Beatiful finish and the sound right out fo the box was phenominal. Should improve to be even better as I play it longer. Another excellent product from energy. The sound is rich and very precise - which is exactly what i was looking for in a center channel.

This small center speak produce very clear sound. It fits very well with my Energy CB5 speakers. When I compare the sound between CB5 and this speaker, this speaker manages high frequency sound I am going to upgrade my front speakers with Energy Veritas mini. I am so satisfied.

I purchased this to use as a center channel along with my RC-10s also from Vanns for the fronts. This set up is for a small TV room 11x12. It was fairly easy for me to match the sound from the MINI with the RC-10s inspite of the woofer size difference. The MINI does have more sensitivity than the RC-10s so that does help. It also has a slightly brighter sound than the RCs but I like that on my center channel. I did feel, however, that the detail wasnt as good as the RCs. The speaker itself is quite small and ideal for a space-limited setup. The finish on it is glossier than the RC-10s but not so much as to make it seem out of place. I bought it off the clearance section and had some minor issues with it which were promptly addressed by the excellent customer support staff at Vanns.
