Put More Power in Your Home Theater
The Northridge E Series E250P takes full advantage of technology developed by JBL's professional division to pump out powerful, yet very clean and clear bass sounds. Its efficient digital amplifier makes the most of each and every one of the 250 watts of power (550 watts peak dynamic power), but that's just the beginning. It's not enough to just be loud. You want tight bass in your sound, not sloppy distorted low frequency effects. Thanks in part to JBL's exclusive FreeFlow flared port design, the special effects in your favorite movies come through with power and purity, not distorted and overly "boomy". A Northridge E Series powered subwoofer is just the ticket to really bring your home theater to life.
Why PolyPlas is So Impressive
The E250P powered subwoofer, like all Northridge E Series speakers uses JBL's exclusive and professionally proven PolyPlas polymer-coated-cellulose-fiber cone material, which combines the sonic neutrality of paper with the added rigidity of the PolyPlas treatment to dampen internal resonance and provide a smooth frequency response with faster transients. PolyPlas cones strike the perfect balance between having enough rigidity to hold their shape and enough flexibility to keep up with the flow of the music or movie soundtrack you're listening to. That's why PolyPlas cones make such a huge difference. Because in the end, it comes down to the cone. Hear (and feel) the difference made by strong, responsive PolyPlas transducers that provide higher playback levels without distortion. Even at maximum power, JBL's E250P kicks it out clean and clear.
Moving More Air
The IsoPower baffle design used in the E250P Northridge E series speaker rigidly affixes the driver to an extremely dense, non resonant baffle. This allows for maximum air movement and energy to be generated by the driver, while minimizing energy loss. The high-strength, high-density enclosure has been specially braced and damped for minimal internal vibration. This cabinet was even computer-designed and lock-mitred to virtually eliminate distortion. Another advantage of the slim profile is how neatly it fits into your decor; making a sound statement without being visually overwhelming.
Strong AND Sensitive
The solid construction and quality of the E250P powered subwoofer can also be seen in its sturdy gold plated, 5-way binding posts that provide a secure connection and superior signal flow to preserve all the nuances of the original program. Convenient controls provide easy and accurate adjustment of volume and crossover frequency, as well as a phase switch, to let you tailor your subwoofer's sound performance to your own personal taste and the individual acoustics of your entertainment area.
